Is it wrong that I like this solution not only for the excellent craftsmanship on display, but also because its nice to see an alternative to the ugly white framed vinyl solutions so prevalent in many areas? Glad I found this channel - great work Nic.

Yet another great (if woefully short) video Nic. These are really therapeutic and relaxing to watch, even if I did find myself giggling half-way through as it reminded me of Laurel & Hardy in Busy Bodies when Oliver gets stuck in the sliding window frame! Keep up the good work!

@@NicTaylorWoodworking I'm just curious how it works with rain. Seems like there's a little channel for rain to run down the window and get stuck in. Maybe the rebate should be on the other side of the sash? Beautiful work, just has me thinking though.

I enjoy watching your high-quality videos - I'm curious do you have multiple cameras set up while working or do you simply move one around? The transition between views/edits is just beautiful, feels so natural. I'm following your woodworking journey and I really like it - best wishes!

Thanks, I really appreciate it! I only use one camera (maybe one day I’ll be able to afford a second) So, I try to think out the full sequence of events before I do anything in order to have good transitions between lifting the mallet, and hitting the chisel, etc. I’m glad to hear that it’s noticed, it’s probably my favorite part of filming. Cheers!

I have been waiting for this, having watched the entire series and thoroughly enjoying it. Some day I want to build a cabin like this for my workshop. I would be curious to know what species did the lumber come from and how did you manage to source it. Was it green or dried? Very inspiring project!
@NicTaylorWoodworking
@NicTaylorWoodworking 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for keeping up with the series! Happy to be posting videos again. I used green Southern Yellow Pine for mine mostly just because thats what my local sawyer had on hand. I just called a few lumber yards in my area and asked which ones would make custom cut timbers, and which ones could deliver to my house. It was actually much simpler than I thought it would be. Cheers!
