I think that this song is about the friendship between Ayaka who is going to Tokyo in order to make a debut as a professional singer, and her best friend who has been very supportive to her, rather than just love songs. Although they live in different places right now and can’t see one another everyday, they still look up the same crescent moon. It reminds Ayaka of her friend in their hometown, which makes her feel more positive to pursue her dreams come true.

"Mikazuki" means Crescent Moon in Japanese. Ayaka is a vert talented singer and song writer !! I've been to her live concerts several times. I recommend you her debut hit song "I Believe" and "Minna Sora No Shita (Everyone Under The Sky) " . Her voice is so good !! ♪
