The shmup after ending E was so unexpected and so enjoyable. It really was the best credit sequence I've experienced in a long time, and the option to sacrifice your saves in order to aid others was so poignant and fitting to the game.

I got ending P on my first playthrough, as i just reached the bridge. I was totally immersed at that point, just dropped the controller to my knees and cried as the credits began rolling. One of the most powerful moments in gaming ive ever had.

I think a2’s ending is actually a “bad” ending, playing 9s’ reveals the machines changed the missile into an ark of sorts containing the collected memories of all yorha and machines, a2 is unaware and destroys the ark and sacrifices herself believing to save the last “remnants” of humanity. In a way it fits her character since she dwindles everything down to machines don’t have souls so their memories don’t matter either.
