It's so nice hearing you talk about the toxicity that one can experience playing this kind of games. I myself sometimes think about how bad someone is playing until I imagine other possibilities about why they're playing like that, maybe they're practicing, maybe it's their first time playing or they're trying a new character. It rlly helps me calm down and be less salty since I also wouldn't like if someone tries to be mean to me while I'm trying my best. Anyways, love the vid

It's the scuffed matchmaking that exacerbates the toxicity that you experience in all fps games. Some players are simply out of their depth and depending on their viewpoint they'll start blaming the teammates when it not their fault they going against diamond/master/grandmaster players.

Your genji was actually pretty impressive. It definitely is not at the masters level but I think for never playing him it was quite impressive. A few quick tips that I noticed in the video, 1. Use your melee more with genji. Dash right click melee is how i secure 99% of my kills with genji. 2. Learn how to dash at targets without overshooting them. Especially during blade this is important, you can aim at their feet to stop dashing so you won’t fly past them and can instantly follow up! Hope someone finds this useful ❤

As a genji main myself, I want to take time to say how much I appreciate the last included bit. It’s a serious issue with how much words can hurt someone’s self image and discourage them from playing how they want to. I actually was scarred from competitive for a while because of how nasty people were to me when I first started out playing Genji, I refused to play competitive after those words and I was ashamed to even be playing Genji because of what they said. I played quick play for over 100 hours on genji, and it’s only until now when I saw this video that it allowed me to finally get back my confidence and try competitive again, no matter what anyone says about how I play. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for this video, it’s so much more than just entertainment and it inspired me to play competitive again :))

I feel the pain you felt going through that INSANE learning curve. Genji is a character that so many people find it cool and want to play but very few actually manages to play actually good. As a fellow old top 500 player back in overwatch 1 and a genji main I find your gameplay and progress pretty sick. And also getting toxicity is like a part of playing genji. Even if you do well you will get hated on lol. Those people can say those because they are typing that from a keyboard behind a monitor so they are nothing more than a coward. You did great man!
@Lquidginger Жыл бұрын
All I have to say is wow. This is the most wholesome and heartwarming video I've found on KZbin in a while. That verse at the end is really something special and not something you often see on here. It really tugged on my heartstrings and reminded me of one of my favorite passages, "And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life,[a] and set on fire by hell." - James 3:6 ESV. Words can really be used as the most destructive weapon in the wrong hands, but God is good and don't forget that even when you get really popular on KZbin because I know you will be one day! I would love to talk more about this more over a game of OW sometime. Either way, you got a new subscriber and I can't wait to see what new videos will come next! 👍

I'm a brand new overwatch player trying to learn the game and I really enjoyed this video! It was cool seeing you play genjii even tho he isn't "meta" or whatever. I think playing heroes you enjoy and making them work rather than just playing whatever hero is best is the best thing to do. Toxicity sucks in video games, I don't think people realize how much it hurts people. The good news however is that it goes the other way too! Saying something nice to players in your games makes the experience for them so much more enjoyable even if they are losing, I know it makes me have more fun. Love the bible verse at the end too btw =D

I’ve played genji to a master level on pc and console he just isn’t in a great spot second you have fun Moria, zar,sym. He’s also hard to heal cause of his movement. His blade is just to draw out every support ult in the game. To make it worse almost everyone in the game had movement. Blade also doesn’t kill anyone who’s mercy pocketed it needs a buff 🗿
@Niftty Жыл бұрын
Yeah, he was really hard to play, there's not much room for error in his kit, especially in higher ranks. IMO
@lukasg4807 Жыл бұрын
The blade nerf is the dumbest shit in the world imo. Not being able to kill a 200hp target with a pocket after a dash and 5 swings is ridiculous. Genji by far has the least reward for the amount of effort he takes, but the devs think pick rate means he's in a good spot even though that's exclusively because he's fun.

I had played OW1 for a while and stopped a bit before OW2 came out. The reason I stopped were exactly what you mentioned in the end, toxicity. It's amazing how people don't realize the impact it can be for others when they can hide behind a screen. It's not hard to be positive and just nice? You are clearly learning to play a character you are not familiar with and people should understand that.
