I see they mention being able to use it with transducers and doing calculations automatically. Does the N2 automatically calculate voltage to pressure if using with things like a pressure transducer?
@Curienllc4 жыл бұрын
We are working on that. At this time the update has not been released for pressure transducers yet. If you want to be on our test group call our main line 18003811821 and ask for Josh
@Jpilgrim304 жыл бұрын
@@Curienllc will do. I do quite a bit of fuel pressure testing and stuff like that with transducers. I just ordered the N2 as it would be perfect for things like that. No need to run leads all the way to the inside of the vehicle to check fuel pressure while test driving. That’s an awesome little device you guys made. There has long been a place in the market for something like this as getting out the picoscope or snap on isn’t always the most convenient thing in the world for a lot of situations.

John Pilgrim we greatly appreciate the feedback! There is alot more functionality and purpose driven testing coming out of our app team daily, we look forward to talking to you soon!

Alllllright! Rustbelt. I have to load test banks of batteries on literally a daily basis. And you sold me on that multimeter. The graphing function is a thing of beauty. I was ready to make an impulse purchase.... Until I seen the price :(

Well when a Bluetooth multimeter from Snapon costs $750+ and doesn’t have near the graphing capability of this one....🤷♂️

Like me except I have the OTC and Picoscope. Forgot I had one of those two and accidentally bought a third from AES wave. Maybe I should do a breakout box shootout. I'd have to get my GoPro out and hope it could make a decent video. Wonder if many people use GoPro cameras or not? I have the Hero 4+ silver and the 8 black versions. Hate that GoPro changed the batteries as I have alot of the earlier version stuff that don't fit the 8 but the earlier version still does 1080p so that should be good enough. Still waiting for @Rustbelt to come out and help with that garage cleanup. Yeah I've lost hope on it. Need to box it all up and take it to storage then slowly being it back the way I want it.
@AntonioClaudioMichael4 жыл бұрын
@@dtnel I use gopro hero 6 black on all of my youtube videos they work fine for me i don't use anything older then a six so everything from batteries works for a 7 hero and 8 hero as well as more then likely work with the 9 hero coming out that haven't changed the batteries in since 5

@burnedupsparkytipsandrevie95974 жыл бұрын
I know you probably said it but what's the voltage and CAT and IP raiting of that Bluetooth graphing meter that looks like it would be perfect for belt speed and motion sensors better than holding an incandescent light bulb on the input terminals to see the pulse of the sensors. Does it have a temp setting too?
@RustbeltMechanic4 жыл бұрын
Yes it definitely has a temp setting and is Cat 3 rates to 600V

What multimeter do you recommend? I’m wanting a fluke but don’t know what model
@RustbeltMechanic4 жыл бұрын
Highly depends on what type of meter work you’re doing. You need to look into what special functions you really need, IE Bluetooth screen use, graphing, auto ranging, true RMS, diode testing etc... Fluke meters are usually great meters
@niteninja01334 жыл бұрын
Fluke 87 nothing is better
@asmautollc4 жыл бұрын
niteninja 01 yep and 87V is latest model. I bought the Fluke 88V which is specific to auto but don’t really use any of its specific features, and true RMS would be nice for other things.
@michaelsieber66014 жыл бұрын
No need for true RMS on auto

What is the distance range of the Bluetooth on the multimeter?

@@RustbeltMechanic One more question... is there a strap with a hook or magnet to hold the meter? I think this is a great tool and would be really helpful!! I have the snapon bluetooth meter but the app isn't great!!

@Rooey1294 жыл бұрын
17:30 Did he just say $249 for only a 24bit multimeter without a display or any quality control? What makes you think anyone in their right mind would get this over say a 121GW which also has bluetooth and is better in every way except not as small. Or a 101 series Fluke for a 1/6th the price without bluetooth because lets be honest in all my years I've never actually needed to use the bluetooth function on my meters.
@RustbeltMechanic4 жыл бұрын
Like I said in the video, I’ve only scratched the surface on its capabilities, but yes it does not have a screen. However, right out the gate it already has a better functioning app than the Snapon Bluetooth meter that’s on the market. There’s no way the snapon meter could ever graph anything as fast.
@Rooey1294 жыл бұрын
@@RustbeltMechanic Yes but Snapon isn't known for making multimeters. If you need a good multimeter you need to look at the brands that make good meters like Fluke or UEI. It's kind of like selling a Black and decker drill without a throttle saying its got bluetooth to control the speed and we should care because it's better than a Ryobi. Noone wants Ryobi or Black and Decker drills and they definitely dont want to pay Milwaukee prices for it.
@Rooey1294 жыл бұрын
@@RustbeltMechanic dont get me wrong, I like you and what you're doing but youre making a multimeter for mechanics, you have it easy because your voltages are less than 49V and yet your making a multimeter without a screen and 24bit resolution, realistically you dont even need that resolution because even 8bit @ 49V is still within 0.2V and thats at the extreme, 10bit would be 0.05V @49 or 0.02 @ 24V and thats single divider. Not to mention you're measuring series current instead of using a current clamp. My grief with it is the meter is already dated before its even out, I mean really the app looks like it was made by a 12 year old girl and it doesn't even have a screen. What you should do is go to a manufacturer and explain what it's used for and what you need it to do, let someone like UEI or Fluke use their decades of experience to make something cool that works. I mean look at the Fluke T5 series, that was made for electricians, no reconnecting leads, super quick, does everything without a single complaint for anyone to make and it's cheap, that's what should be done here. Again not hating you, I love your channel and want to support, but hating the product.
