Well done, Barry Hearn. He wasn't taking any nonsense from the Italians.

The last thing you want to be without when you've got Nigel Benn in the opposite corner is punching power. That's the only way you'll get his respect. I think Galvano did better in the rematch in England but still lost on points. At least he proved he had durability in that one. Benn's power at Super Middle was still awesome, but slightly down on his Middleweight days. Benn vs Calzaghe would have been a great fight, but they peaked at different times so it was never going to happen. Thanks for uploading.

Great quotes from Nigel Benn I love watching in box as he was the best in my personal opinion. But it's unbelievable what be Italians were trying to do because they could see Nigel Ben was about to knock the Italian out who was not even a true world champion in my book. He refused to give the belt up and didn't even come over to Nigel Benn to congratulate him properly .He only done it briefly when he was lifted up when Nigel was at the same time when he thought he was Keeping up about disgusting behaviour.

Barry Hearn wasn't having it at all, the Italians tried to pull a fast one. Barry saw the script, ripped it up and reverted the script back to its original form. Great performance by Benn aswell though he sunk in some beautiful uppercuts.

@Rex makepeace If even his biggest fans are admitting he "may have bent the rules a little bit", he's a fucking cheater. There's a ton of fights where he was allowed to do things that would've gotten most fighters DQ'd. He wasn't on the level of Tyson --- who would've been blackbarred -- if he wasn't a money machine, but he was as dirty as mud - and - got stood up to -- by a lot bums -- in fair fights. He was tied up -- going into the championship rounds -- with Nicky Piper (who?); he went the distance -- against 7-9-1 Jorge Amparo --- who had gone 1-3 -- in his last 4; got a split-decision -- against Sanderline Williams --- who had gone 2-5 -- in his last 7. If Nigel Benn hadn't picked up a few belts and been one of the UK's handful of fighters - who - could get a win against world-class fighters -- regardless of the means - he would've been fined and shit on.
@williamsmith18035 жыл бұрын
@Rex makepeace That's what I was saying about Tyson, fool. I was saying Benn got away with murder but not on the level of Tyson. Tyson should've been suspended about 6 times over. I didn't cherry-pick anything. All of those fights happened when he wasn't a complete amateur or war-torn --- they were all valid. I never liked any of the guys Benn beat, but I can't respect him for the way he won his fights. I remember eating up the fight with Gerald, when I first saw it. I thought Benn could've went to war with James Toney or Roy Jones Jr. (who were - the equivalent to world-breakers -- in my young mind). When I got older -- I saw some of Benn's other fights - and - realized he fought with no honor or class. I definitely didn't like Barkley, because he had beat up on an aging Hearns (I thought Hearns was really old for the fights with Barkley), but Benn straight-up fouled him and got away with it because the referee was as crooked as his own teeth. What were Benn's "big good wins"? I still love the beating he put on Gerald " the dog butcher" McClellan, but - as awesome as the fight and end result might've been -- that's the only "Great" win he has. I never said Galvano wasn't a cheating piece of shit or brought up anything Benn did in his fights against Galvano against him; I simply stated the fact that Benn wasn't all that great and threw mud to beat a lot of the guys he beat. Quit riding dick.
@martytdd16064 жыл бұрын
