A lot of people slagged off this show. Me?, i found it a brilliant insight into Benn and Eubanks mentality and work ethics. Benn would throw himself, heart and soul, into a project for better or worse. Eubank would do only what was required and not take it too serious, relying on his elusiveness to get him through. Two fantastic entertainers of their time. Complete respect to Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank.

When i was in my youth i was a massive Benn lover and hated Eubank , but in my maturity Eubank has grown endlessly on me. Just had to watch every fight on utube........amazing man with some great qualities , gotta love Benn too = )

I think you would be surprised at my brother in-laws résumé, I'm not sure how much you know about gladiator training, and how to qualify to be a trained professional, and what it takes to get to the level where you would be selected to train one of the greatest fighters of all time. Maybe Eubank but from what I see Nigel clearly wanted to beat Chris. It could have been a program on tiddlywinks but if Chris signed up for it Nigel would want to beat him at that too. I love it at around 18:20. Chris - "This is tough". Nigel - "Yes...but I'm enjoying it". I just get the impression that in Nigel's mind it is "anything you can do I can do better". Hats off to the Real Galdiators of Roman times, I'm sure the training was no joke, fame aside you were still property until they said you weren't, you were also gambling with your life at times as well.. The regime must have been, well, brutal, the little taste Eubanks and Benn got from it was probably nothing compared to the years these people had to endure this regime day in and day out in total dedication to their art, lets remember, these guys fought so well, the empire nationalized the sport so ambitious owners wouldn't raise armies of these brutes, imagine facing off against one of these brutes in a real battlefield, or ten, death sentence.. You are the end result of a discipline where the objective is handing people their asses all day, every day, not getting dick for it but maybe a chance at freedom, compulsory military service, with a good chance of getting maimed or offed, then back to training , every day.. gives new meaning to the phrase "tough guy".and you had to learn to die gracefully, if you loose without fear.. we have nothing today to compare to these men.. hats of to these two fighters for submitting to it as they did..

They way preferred Benn as he was ex army. He had a better work ethic here and I think he cared more about the win than eubank did here. Saying that...Benn absolutely smoked Eubank in the final gladiator fight

This was a great look at the psychology of both men in their post boxing years and older age.chris losing this takes absolutely none of my respect for the man.In his years as a boxing legend no man was as brave and determined as Chris Eubank but I see that Chris didn't have that same killer instinct.Benn on the other hand still seems to have it but fair play to both of them and respect to both men much love from me.Benn deserved the win he was so much more determined and mean he made no excuses from start to finish he listened and respected his trainers and he showed 100% aggression in every round and in every event leading up to the finale so yes Benn deserved to win.chris on the other hand took part but his heart wasn't really in it and this was clear as he made excuses throughout and lost in fitness upper body strength and finally aggression but for me this has only made me respect both men a lot more for different reasons and I love both of them equally.and even though they are rivals and have very different personalities they are muc much more similar than anyone could know especially the events in each life.both were world champs both were warriors of the highest calibre both have dealt with tragic boxing events(which in some ways explains Chris loss of the killer instinct because he's a very good man at heart) and both have sons who are doing well at boxing.so on that note good luck to both and a big big thank you for putting your lives on the line over the years to entertain the British public we are lucky to have had you and your names will forever go down in history as true gladiators.

Kirkland Laing was a great talent, his win over Duran was unbelievable, it was no fluke. He should have beaten Colin Jones twice, but he could lose focus in the ring and that was fatal. I'm not surprised to hear that about his lifestyle. Michael Watson was a great fighter, we never even got to see the best of him. He improved so much from the loss to Mike Mccallum, but was unfortunate to get caught by a one in a lifetime uppercut by Eubank. It's unbelievable you've sparred those fighters
