@@thecoffeehouse5714 Good afternoon. Firstly,Mr Rees-Mogg was instrumental in extricating the United Kingdom from the unaccountable, and,by now failing, European Union. In my opinion, that renders him worthy of praise as a defender of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Secondly, he is a devout Christian, with unwavering moral and ethical principles. He is in addition,a successful individual in his own right. These qualities, to my mind at least, make him EXACTLY the type of person we need involved at the very heart of the Government of our nation. My final point would be,that since he is a thinking, breathing human being,it would be impossible to describe him as a caricature! My kindest regards.

Why all the hate for Rees-Mogg? I'm Australian so don't know all the nitty gritty details, but he's always struck me as one of the more decent people in politics. He may be upper class, but I've always felt a sense of humility from him, and the (now all but abandoned) understanding that the government (and the nobility before government existed) has a duty & responsibility to the people, to govern in their interests, not rule over them with an iron fist. If there's legitimate reason to not respect Rees-Mogg I'd like to know about it, but up till now I've only seen vague tribalistic dislike and general animus because he's not a leftie.

Mr. Rees-Mogg is still a joy to listen to while belonging to a government that is beginning to appear too weak kneed.

Jacob, we proud unionists in Northern Ireland have a lot of respect for you but we fear you're saying what we want to hear. Please don't let the EU and/or Sinn Fein IRA put more nails in the coffin of Ulster Unionism. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

NI is on its last knees because of the DUP and their shambolic stances on Brexit - couldn't make up their minds on it; half of them still think the world is 6000 years old! Ireland shall be united. And it will be largely thanks to the biggest and most hardline "unionist" party in northern ireland

I don't disagree with anything said. Objectively speaking, unionist parties have been complacent at best. I don't believe a 32 County Socialist Republic will be achieved but Ireland could likely become a country again in the next 75-100 years. Nationalists have been in the driving seat since Sunningdale and GFA. Long live the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland 🇬🇧

@@MALEXI10 but thats the thing. It will not live long. When ireland unites, no more united kingdom When scotlqnd gets independence, no more britain

@@bothi00 Britain is an island so that will exist. Regarding the Union, there's no doubt we're on the rocks but it it does nothing but heighten the unionist resolve in NI. Obviously, as I'm "ballot" and not "bullet (I'm not sure what you are?), I hope that our fight is not by murdering innocent postmen and children and is fought diplomatically. However, as unionist culture would be ridiculed in a United Ireland, I'm not sure how positive I'd be.

I grew up in Wiltshire & Somerset & I can tell you that cider looked like the real thing, called scrumpy, used to be part of a farm workers daily wage. Cold on a hot day delicious, not like all that gasy stuff full of ice, that's not really cider. MOGG for pm!
