One might argue that we’ve had a very false sort of consensus -politics based on politicians ignoring the wishes and concerns of the electorate. It could also be argued that Reform have a distinct lack of policies and that their immigration policies are in fact very modest suggesting a very low bar in people’s expectations. They just want some sort of effort to address the problem. So mainstream parties need to be taken to task for their intransigence on the immigration issue.

They both liked a drink, But Churchill also was a hero from the boar war, when as a journalist he rallied an ambushed British column and drove off the attackers. He was senior in the admiralty during WW1 and was an experienced politician. One of his achievements was being a founder of the welfare state whilst a member of the liberal party. He didn’t terrible things too, like gassing civilians in what is now Iraq, but he was an influential politician. Farages political career consisted of lying, holding a beer and fag, and not turning up to the EU Parliament.
