I still wouldn't rule out that happening. Though there's so little left of the right side of the tories, whether it would make any difference... Braverman and Jennerick are the only two I can think of that would be welcome in REFORM.

How can there be any debate over who won that spat? Olukemi has tried to claim that she has seen the code driving that counter. The thing is that this website, in common with 99% of modern websites uses server side scripting, not client side. That is to say that the server simply outputs the results of whatever script it is running, so whether it is a legitimate database or fake counter it cannot be determined from your PC/phone/tablet, but only by looking at the code running on the server. She clearly wouldn't have had permission, so can we assume she's admitting to the criminal offence of hacking? As for her further claim that once this was highlighted, REFORM moved their codes... Again with server side scripting you cannot possible know that either way. REMEMBER that Farage has offered to have membership audited- which the tories declined. I think this is game, set and match to Farage.

Most people don't understand the difference between server side and client side and its significance in this case. You are quite right that in order for her to have seen what she claimed she'd needed to have hacked REFORM's servers- something which Farage, REFORM and media haven't yet picked up on. Yes, the figures from the database are going through some clever graphics to make them spin from 0 up the total, but ultimately that's doable with JS. What is interesting to note is that the membership increase per hour is not static... So if it is faked then it has some complex programming to make it appear random.... Some hours it was one or two, some hours it was dozens.. Possible to fake but unlikely.

This obviously won't affect everyone, but as a Brexiteer, something I think should revert back to pre-Brexit rules is travelling with pets.
