Was watching/listening to a playlist of Yes Minister, this pops up. Just discovered this, now I'm sad as I'm reminded of its old age.

Yes Minister was brilliant and Nigel one of the best actors ever. It is interesting to note bush fires being quite common even in the past in South Eastern Australia, while it is being dressed as something new now.

Bush fires have been a natural part of Australia's environment for centuries, it's not that fires are new, it's that the patterns and extents are new kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmHbZWljmtOrqaM

Yes, Minister is a definite contender for best sitcom of all time. And Hawthorne was brilliant in it, and even better in Madness of King Goerge, IMO. Incidentally, as an Australian, it was interesting to see that bit about the bushfires. I remember it well, but unfortunately we've had plenty of worse bushfires since then.
