Nigel Mansell's 1991 British GP (poor audio)

VHS rip of Nigel Mansell's 1991 British GP.
Offers quite a good insight into the weekend of an F1 driver in the 90s.
A video I've had in my loft for years and years.
Worth noting the audio is very poor in parts, watchable (just about) i'd say.

Great documentary. I was a little too young to appreciate Mansell mania as it happened (especially from America), but was one of those names you always heard among the greats. I’m not sure why some people have such negative views of him, he was a salt of the earth man that fought his way to the top and you have to respect that. I’ll always be a Mansell fan.

Nicely said, and personally I agree with every word. Lucky enough to meet the guy when my mother took me to a preseason test / shakedown at Brands Hatch, when I was just a young boy. He gave me a signed magnet, a white circular magnet of his crash helmet. I still have that to this day. And the clear memory of that day has stayed with me all my life.

He definitely had a bit more bravado by the time he did the Red #5 documentary which chronicled his IndyCar season…but can you blame him? F1 needs a working man’s hero again.
