Thank you Nigella! I have made this numerous times and always perfect and delicious. Sometimes I leave out the honey depending on what we feel like. I have added halloumi and or ricotta with the base feta and tastes great also. This is a keeper !

Well, it's better with feta. Feta's tangy taste goes better with honey than ricotta. That's why it's fried feta with honey is such a common dish in Greece

+Annavp21 mozzarella, but feta cheese is the perfect cheese for this recipe. I know it from grandma and it is amazing. try it once with less ingredients - smaller pie and dint forget the sesame seeds and the honey !!

Tried it with pine nuts and it was even better than with sesame seeds, black cumin works well too, I've also tried with different cheeses like Akawi and Haloumi and it comes out delicious in every way. I'll recommend you give it a try.
