Our preparation towards AFCON was horrible. NFF failed to play friendly matches with tough opponents like Senegal, Morocco etc. Tough friendlies would have exposed the Eagles weaknesses. But NFF foolishly and deliberately played against weak teams so that the team can look good. Instead of camping in Africa hot climate they ran to Dubai for vacation and to have fun.

It's high time Nigeria football association should minimize on inviting these European born and raised players. All of them took Nigeria as 2nd choice because they couldn't get a spot in their birth country's senior teams after playing for them on different youth levels. In that Squad almost half of the squad weren't born and raised in Nigeria and most of them are starters and are placed high in the squad. We need guys that knows african football because 70% of players that features in Afcons are players plying their trades in Africa. Select players who played in our league and other African countries leagues b4 securing lucrative contracts to play outside Africa. That's the only way Super Eagles of Nigeria will revived apart from that we'll keep running from pillar to post. African football is different from European football.

Nigeria problem is the strikers don't play for each other, rather its selfish play while in front of the post. Strikers should play as a team. Unfavourable strikers under defender pressure, must pass to a well positioned striker in order to score. If you miss the chance, then its gone. Better play don't a match, rather its the goals and ball in the net. Hence underdog team usually wait for opportunity, then take a good chance by playing selflessly.
