Nigeria Govt Accuses Chinese Firm Of Fraud, Seizing Assets & Presidential Jets | Firstpost Africa
Tensions between Nigeria and its biggest bilateral creditor China are simmering. Nigeria's Bola Tinubu government says it has uncovered secret attempts by a Chinese firm to take over Nigerian assets abroad using unorthodox means. The asset seizure by the Chinese firm also includes presidential jets. Recently, the Judicial Court in Paris ordered the seizure of three Nigerian aircraft that were on routine maintenance in France. Nigeria has accused the Chinese firm Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Ltd of fraudulent activities and misleading courts in the UK, the US and France to claim Nigerian assets. Watch this video for details.

If you don't find a means of multiplying your money, you will wake up one day and realize that the money you thought you had, had been exhausted. Investment is a ladder to climb the financial wall.

Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.

@@opeoluwaolujimijp982what debts, it's disheartening that we haven't learnt from our ancestoral histories and that's the reason we will repeat the same mistakes or even worse, Nigeria is owning no country in the world debt, not International monetary fund IMF or world Bank or Paris club or china, these criminals uses our criminal leader's to loot Nigeria and Africa with fake ghost loan's, they are criminals using Nigeria and Africa criminal leader's to loot Nigeria and Africa with fake loan's, which Bank continue to borrow you money without a framework or physical projects that the initial loans was used for or on, which Bank? That was how many of you believed when these bunch of criminals claimed that they discovered Sani Abacha loots and repatriated to you people media news, where are those supposed Sani Abacha loots today that they claimed to had repatriated? Can you point one thing it was used for? They claimed they were going to monitored how the money is spent on the projects they mentioned, I told many of you that it was all a set up to tarnished Sani Abacha name more in order for Nigerians never to wish for a military rule again, why will Sani Abacha bank money with the West a man that never travelled abroad or outside Nigeria as Nigeria president or head of States, why? Sani Abacha was the only Nigeria president that the west wasn't able to ride like a horse in fact he put them all in their places, why will such man Bank many with them? I am not saying general Sani Abacha was a saint no but he held Nigeria economy strong, Naira never blinked against the dollar all through his four years in office, fuel price never shaked, with your salary as a civil servant you could feed like a king and question, there was nothing like Boko Haram and if he was the president today Boko Haram won't last a year before he erase them all, he was the only president that invested billions of dollars in agriculture, he ended the Sierra Leone civil war, no country dared to treat a Nigerian anyhow without him retaliating!!! Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida IBB the father of all destruction of Nigeria and her economy, why are they not repatriating billions of dollars he looted Nigeria of? Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida IBB was the man that the international monetary fund used to destroyed Nigeria currency Naira, Nigeria currency was the world most powerful currency before the international monetary fund IMF plotted with the American government to destroyed it, a Naira was Equivalent to $1.50, go do your research, I wonder when we Africans will wake up, you can borrow a Nation as wealthy as Nigeria money or any Africa country if not because you want to loot them, if I am Nigeria president I will erase all those fake loan's and these criminals will not blink unless they show me all the physical projects those fake loans was used for or on in Nigeria soil

I was enjoying Dr Nwangwu's brilliant analysis before he got halted due to time constraints. The clandestine and opaque nature of Nigerian government's bilateral loan agreements with China has been exposed by this unfortunate saga. This matter has been shielded and hidden from public knowledge until now. So how does the government hope to earn the trust of the citizens under these circumstances? It deserves the shame and embarrassment it is being subjected to by the seizure of those aircrafts in Paris.

This lawlessness is what the netizens of nigeria particularly the Igbos who refuse to be part of this contraption. A lawless country that intimidates its people have now gone beyond its boundaries, it must be forced to obey international laws. Kudos to China and Chinese people. Yup you're so right though,. But i think they are still controlled by the WEST. Because if Nigeria develops, there will be no more resources for the West as Nigerians will be needing 80 percent of all natural resources to develop their country, and the same applies to other African countries except South Africa, why? Cos the white people live among them, and they are on code with the west. Is what it seems like in my head.

So,basically one Ogun State governor took money from a Chinese firm and issued them a contract that they were under no obligation to complete. This whole debacle was facilitated by the federal government and all the corrupt officials that clearly got kickbacks. The next governor comes in and says to them; "that deal has nothing to do with my government so I'm revoking it". Unfortunately for everyone involved, Chinese companies do not operate without knowledge and backing of their own government...so China is now simply showing the Nigerian government the ;"Fu** around and find out!" Theory 😅 China has no need for the planes..they most likely lent the Nigerian government the money to buy them in the first place.

This men in power continuously disgrace this country, they have not for any reason given Nigerians a reason to be proud of its passport, this has over the years made many Nigerians seek dual citizenship or abandon Nigerian citizenship all together. Even with all that happened this August they still bought more planes,this tinubu man seems more concerned with the luxury of been president than the duty or service demanded by the office of the presidency.,under 1 year of this administration, tinubu has wasted the treasury funds and GDP on making life as luxury has possible for his family, the national assembly members and Godfathers particularly in northern Nigeria. This patience they require from Nigerians is only so they have time to embezzle the nation dry,while Nigerians sit and wait foolishly. GOD WILL NOT DO FOR MAN,WHAT MAN OUGHT TO DO FOR HIMSELF ,IT DOESN'T TAKE THE HOLY QUR'AN OR HOLY BIBLE TO MAKE A NATION PROSPEROUS, it only takes the WILL TO ACT.

Anyone that really knows China knows that relationship is like the Greek's gift. They hardly engaged in equalateral relationship even with advanced nations not to talk of developing nations. Imagine them crying out internally on this when they are the champions of not keeping to trade agreements and symbiotic trade relationships which resulted to the trade war between them and the US during Trump presidency who dealt a great blow on Chinese economy. Though Nigerian government may have faulted because of bad governance, China is among the worst countries to engage in a symbiotic trade relationship with. Dealing with them requires extra carefulness otherwise you will wake to discover you've sold your country to them in trade agreements without knowing. Some African countries currently under these seize can tell better.

Please it's tinubu who is owing not Nigeria and it's civilians. He is responsible for what he ate and borrowed. As well as what was collected under his leadership. If he is not in line with the borrowing of money, he should ensure those responsible under his government are held accountable. A country that has capacity to feed nation's is in debt, God help us. Abeg the government of the owed country (China) should be given a go ahead by the court to reduce the debt with these planes if the government refuse to pay what was borrowed at a time window given by the court. Things in Life can be so easy to settle if people embrace simplicity and less stress. No one should crack their heads for something that can be resolved with common sense. And also for china, they should be careful with loaning huge amounts to Nigerian government cause I strongly believe they don't plan paying back even after Christ comes

Did the Chinese company construct road network, drainage systems and electricity there? 3). Why was the contract abruptly terminated? Out of these listed key points, tell Me what the man said that was out of context.

Nigeria only exists for those looting the remaining resources but in actual sense it was dead in 2014 and can never be remedied unless they conduct a referendum for indigenous people to decide to stay together or separate.

Wait, Nigeria's governments doesn't know that almost all its states 33/36 are subnational? What the hell is this? This is madness.
@shell.terminal
@shell.terminal 18 күн бұрын
In Nigeria, these 36 states operate as subnational entities, each with its own governor and legislature. However, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, is not a state but a distinct administrative region managed directly by the federal government of Nigeria. So, only Abuja (FCT) is not a subnational state.

@@shell.terminal so, can each state have businesses with a foreign multinational or does it have to go through the federal government. I assumed only Lagos and Rivers have the power to have those types of businesses.

@@ebingo10 Some states, like Lagos and Rivers, which have more developed economies and infrastructure, may seem to have more autonomy in attracting foreign businesses due to their economic significance and the presence of major ports and industries. However, even these states still operate under the framework of federal laws and must coordinate with the federal government for any substantial foreign investment deals

@@ebingo10 While state governments in Nigeria have certain powers, they do not generally have independent authority to directly engage in international relations or foreign trade.
