I think that clarification is good. The company in question will have to defend its claim. I still suspect someone in high places must have misled and defrauded them. Nigeria is a very corrupt country.

Ogun state should have all its statutory allocations seized for entering into such a ridiculous agreement without seeking counsel and protection from the Federal government.

This men in power continuously disgrace this country, they have not for any reason given Nigerians a reason to be proud of its passport, this has over the years made many Nigerians seek dual citizenship or abandon Nigerian citizenship all together. Even with all that happened this August they still bought more planes, this tinubu man seems more concerned with the luxury of been president than the duty or service demanded by the office of the presidency.,under 1 year of this administration, tinubu has wasted the treasury funds and GDP on making life as luxury has possible for his family, the national assembly members and Godfathers particularly in northern Nigeria. This patience they require from Nigerians is only so they have time to embezzle the nation dry, while Nigerians sit and wait foolishly. GOD WILL NOT DO FOR MAN,WHAT MAN OUGHT TO DO FOR HIMSELF ,IT DOESN'T TAKE THE HOLY QUR'AN OR HOLY BIBLE TO MAKE A NATION PROSPEROUS, it only takes the WILL TO ACT

You have better shut up your trap there. This is an attempt by a Chinese company to defraud the country. They were slow-walking the performance of the terms of a contract in the hope that the government will eventually terminate the contract and they can in turn sue the government and claim hefty sums of money in damages. It was a trap of some sorts. The Chinese had no intention of fulfilling their own parts of the deal. They even lied to the foreign courts that the aircrafts were commercial aircrafts instead of Presidential aircrafts which are actually moving embassies. Nigeria will eventually triumph over those Chinese bastards in court.

In light of the Ogun State government's default, the Federal government should suspend their allocations. Moreover, the Federal government should take legal action against the French government for the seizure of the presidential jets, which is a clear embarrassment. The French government must be made aware that Nigeria's federal system grants partial autonomy to each tier, especially regarding loan acquisition. Consequently, it is incorrect to penalize the Federal government for a contractual breach incurred by a state government.

Why are you talking about a default that never happened. You don't know anything about what happened and you are here talking trash. This is a case of a Chinese company trying to trap Ogun State by slow-walking a contract in the hope that the Ogun State will eventually terminate the contract and they will in turn sue for damages by claiming money for a job they didn't do.

@@rotimikayode1072 Kayode, I am highly disappointed in you. I may be old enough to be your father, mind you. As a Yoruba man, I expect more respect from you. Using derogatory words against a total stranger is unacceptable in our culture, and you know that. If you think you know what really happened, courtesy demands that you politely present your perspective. You shouldn't come at me with insults. That's totally inappropriate.
