Did you use parboiled basmati rice or just regular basmati rice?

Hi Calvin, could it be that you are adding too much water to the rice? I use golden sella basmati rice and this ratio has never failed (1 1/2 cup of water to 1 cup of rice) The next time you try it, reduce the amount of water you add and adjust as you go along, I hope you try it again. thanks and apologies for the late response
