Brethren I have a testimony! I watched this video because ‘uncle’ was insisting on Jollof rice. I jejely explained that my jollof has never for once been a hit. But I watched this tutorial and followed it in faith😂. Thank you for not letting them return my bride price. First time I’m glad to look like a liar.

I'm African-American. My grandmother (who came from the southern USA) used to make a dish called, "Red Rice" that closely resembles Jollof Rice; even down to many of the ingredients. I was well into my 50s the first time I had opportunity to taste Jollof rice and fell in love with it because it carries the culinary memories of my grandma's cooking!

It's so funny I was once married to a Nigerian man and he was so amazed that I could cook Nigerian food so well and it's funny because I'm from the south and so much of the food is the same and I had to explain to him that when our ancestors were bought over that we had to adapt to the ingredients here so things are pretty much the same and all of his friends and when I first met his family and cooked for them they thought he had married an African woman instead of African American it was truly an experience I enjoyed your video keep doing what you do blessings LaLa Okeke-A

But I've never managed to capture the real flavours I tasted in the villages or those made by my Nigerian husband's auntie. Omg I need to to go to my food home, Nigeria, Warri, Zaria are calling me.

Madame you made me drool. I a spoiled Africanamerican who miss her Baba’s cooking. I used to prep for his cooking when we did Ceremony for the Egun. Sadly I didn’t get the process. When you said “add all the spices so your neighbors won’t know you’re cooking “ made me smile. That’s something my Elders would have said. Button hit. Looking forward to learning more

Hello my sister Greetings from jamaica 🇯🇲 Trelawny this is a beautiful recipe. You mixed African and Caribbean cuisine to come up with a very unique jollof rice. The important thing is your honesty in saying this is for special occasions or Sunday dinner. PLEASE MARRKET YOUR HOME MADE TOMATO PUREE. THE AFRO AND INDIAN COMMUNITY WILL WELCOME IT. I AM ABSOLUTELY SURE IF YOUR PRICE IS RIGHT. WE HAVE ENOUGH BUSINESS PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY WHO WILL SUPPORT IT. AND THANK YOU FOR NOT USING TOO MANY DIFFERENT MEATS THAT DOES NOT COMPLIMENT THE RECIPE
