I ‘m from Somaliland, I was 15 years old the first time I saw Addis Ababa and that was 9 years ago.I think If a world survey is done, then Ethiopians will rank the kindest country on earth.

I don’t think anyone can beat Somalis for kindness imo. I was imprisoned in Kenya in the late 90’s for having an expired ID. We were a few Ethiopians and around 30 Somalis in the cells. The Ethiopians got some injera from their friends from outside and they went to the next cell and ate it without me. This Somali gentleman was so pissed at them. When one young Somali man got a bowl of pasta from his family, this gentleman took it from him and gave it to me and forced me to eat it! Then when he was released, he came back to the police station with money and had me released. NOTHING can beat this sort of kindness. I’ll never forget him. I have many similar experiences about Somalis. Somalis are a different breed when it comes to generosity.They are our cousins.

The border of Ethiopia encompassed much of Kenya hundreds to thousands of years ago. Europeans created the borders during the Berlin Conference. You know what that means? That means most Kenyans are actually Ethiopians and don't know it.

Hi queen it nice to see you again. Tell him to travel a little bit more he can get different experience. If he go to France they have tartars it’s a raw meat exact same way like Ethiopian Kittfo but they put egg yoke in the middle and onion. You go to Japan they eat raw fish the same in USA Alaska eat Wales meat raw. In west Africa there’s even more experience… so I hope you got to travel and enjoy different culture.
@pee26942 жыл бұрын
He doesn’t have to compare with any western country and you don’t have to justify eating raw meat by using other examples. It’s still a culture shock to him and many other Africans. He didn’t say it was bad or wrong, my sister. He’s just sharing what was unusual for him. If you go to Nigeria, they eat snails. So do the French. But in Ethiopia, we don’t. In fact, we Ethiopians are the most critical of other eating cultures. So pls don’t try to justify. Just enjoy the conversation and learn from it.
@Xestra374902 жыл бұрын
Not pasta is normally eaten with bread maybe a side vegetables the same with other similar food. It’s small restaurants started something called muchbang and they noticed people like that they started mixing. When you go big restaurant they don’t serve you pasta with injera it’s only cultural food chicken or beef stew or some traditional food. Maybe ask them next time to have it separately

I'm Ethiopian and don't know that Somali people are our enemies 🤷🏾♂️ I've never heard both from any Ethiopian and our gov't that we've issues with our neighbor, Somalia. If you're a member of the terrorist group, Al Shabab, well that could be right.. we're definitely enemies. Otherwise Ethiopians are very well known for their peaceful relationship they have with all neighboring countries.
