Chinyere, you really do NOT know the VALUE of this thing you do for every body.............we see where PROGRESS has been made and where PROBLEMS still EXIST.............we also see where we have Land Spaces for FUTURE establishment of Factories and Industries. I have never been to this part of Anambra State. Wow !!!!! I travelled from Ekwulobia to Onitsha through Ekwulobia- Nnewi - Onitsha road . All I can say is that the State Governors of Anambra State did a fine job of CONSTRUCTING roads in Anambra State............................... Wait, wait, wait from approximately 19:00 to 22:00 ( Uke/Ojoto to Nnobi ) is a VAST area of Land.............. good for Agriculture ( Orchard and Livestock rearing ). Also Abatete area . Igbo Folks should invest in Orchard Farming and Livestock rearing (Produce Fruits and Cattle, Sheep,Goats, Domestic Fowls etc. ).

And yes, that Abatete up to Oraukwu area looks exactly like this Uke/Nnobi area, it's the same river that crosses both roads: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXbFdoWKZb9rapo

@@thankgodogujiuba3923 how can you even use Awada and architecture in the same sentence? Chai o! Awada is filled with 5 storey blocks of flats that are built so close together, I feel claustrophobic going there. You can see a bit of Awada and MCC in the following video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5mzm2apopV8aas as we drove through the express. You are the first person that has requested to see Awada o. Other people want to see the greenery and peacefulness of the villages. And no, I don't do polls for this. I film where I am passing through and seriously I do not see anything taking me to Awada in the near future. Be on the lookout for KZbinrs who live in Onitsha and put in such a request on their channels and see if they will help you out in impressing the outside world with Awada architecture. 😂🤣😂

Good job as always, Flo Chinyere - thanks for rekindling my memories of Onitsha North and Idemmili areas. I spent years working in these places. My one big regret watching this particular video is the near absence of meaningful town planning and proper road development. Clearly, the roads are inadequate for the volume of traffic on it. Add to it the uncontrolled multiplication of stores, the lack of sidewalks which endangers pedestrians. We look like a riot. Hopefully, in Biafra we can begin to clean up the mess that Nigeria has forced us to live with.
@FloChinyere
@FloChinyere 5 жыл бұрын
Why is it that all your comments on these videos of Anambra State are often about how disappointed you are, how ashamed you are of where you come from? Why? If you are in touch with what is happening in this state you will know that Anambra State is not a rich state so we cannot afford all these side walks, road expansions and Dubai-like picturesque aesthetics you are always talking about. Anambra State government is focusing on providing the amenities it can provide within the resources the state has and these are: building access roads to connect the towns, paying workers' salaries and paying pensioners. And the government is doing a DAMN good job of it. How many times has the government knocked down those illegal shops? The same people said the government is heartless by destroying people's means of livelihood. Biafra, Biafra, Biafra. Is Biafra a magic wand? Even if you get Biafra and remove corruption down to nothing, Anambra State looking like that country you live in will not happen in 50 years time. Look into the history of that country you live in and find out how many centuries it took them to get to where they are today. Please tailor your expectations to the reality on ground because getting Biafra will not make money rain on the streets. These depressive comments need to stop because they give me a headache. I am not the governor, send these videos to the Governor and tell him how you want the state to look.
@olisa633
@olisa633 5 жыл бұрын
@@FloChinyere Disappointment: yes. Shame: no. The comments are also not directed at you - far from it. I'm actually hoping that others like me who watch these videos realize that we have work to do. We cannot afford to relax abroad and not pay enough attention to home. As far as giving credit to government, it is doing extremely well in agriculture - assisting largely private businesses which have brought in skills and capital to the state. However, when we examine how our own resources as a state gets spent, there seems to be a preference for contract awards which cost too much and only go to a handful of connected businessmen, when properly trained road workers can do much the same work for less. We are missing out on new skills and permanent jobs for a large number of people. By passing up some details now, we are also creating backlogs for future governments in the state. Growing up we had ndi olu uzo, and they were invaluable to the PWD then. They built sidewalks in Onitsha up until 1970. And yes, I did write to Obi when he was governor, and he was responsive.
@FloChinyere
@FloChinyere 5 жыл бұрын
Olisa I never for once thought the comments were directed at me. When I wrote "I am not the governor", I meant that no matter how many times you express your disappointments here, the chances of the governor seeing it is non-existent. Other Anambra people watching this video will read your comments, we will discuss it here in the typical social media manner and that's the end. I make these videos to give us a feeling of nostalgia not to create a pity party for how bad where we come from looks. Yes I know there's always room for improvement but at the same time beauty they say is in the eyes of the beholder. If you know how these places looked like before, you will understand where I am coming from when I describe your comments as depressive. If these videos make you sad and disappointed, it's best not to watch them unless it is to send the videos to those in charge and point out what needs to be done. You will get the opportunity to hear directly from them because when I keep defending them here, it sounds like I am their spokes person. I know every part of Onitsha and I can't remember any part of Onitsha that has sidewalks, not even GRA. Onitsha always had good roads tarred gutter to gutter but that's it, no side walks. So please which part of Onitsha has sidewalks? Most cities in Nigeria do not have side walks in the master plan. At best what you see is people passing in front of people's house but since insecurity started, people walled off their compounds making the front inaccessible. And for an average state like Anambra to come and redesign all these roads, move back buildings and build sidewalks all within 20 years of starting from nothing is the most unrealistic expectation ever. All these when we still have muddy village roads? Mbanu. For now the priority is building inter-town roads, then village roads (because LGA allocation is non existent in Nigeria) etc before we now come full circle and start with the aesthetics of sidewalks and covered gutters. All those ndi olu uzo were funded by the local government council but if you have been following up on Nigerian politics you will know that since 2003, LGA allocations went to the state governments. In fact for a long time, local government elections were not held in Nigeria so no officials to run these local governments. I can go on and on but the fact remains that if we want our leaders to hear how we feel, we need to take the matter to them not discuss it in the bellies of a KZbin comment section. KZbin viewers will not contribute money to build world class roads so let's keep the nostalgia here and take the complaints to the governor, that's all I'm asking.
@olisa633
@olisa633 5 жыл бұрын
@@FloChinyere You've always been sensible, Flo Chinyere and I appreciate that. I watch because of nostalgia, no doubt, but I get reminded too of what our brothers in government are not doing. And just so you know, they watch too. Or more appropriately, their agents do. The reason I have not forwarded your videos to third parties is to avoid intellectual property theft. I've merely asked people to take a look. If I have your permission, I will use them at our get together here. And the next time the governor visits. I can think of Oguta Road in 1970 and the areas around the Main Market - they were mostly well laid slabs, not elaborate sidewalks such as you would find in Europe or America, but they served the purpose. Lastly, I promise to take up the local government election matter with the government: if the governor confiscates their money, he should do their jobs too. On that note, please do not take offence. Whether or not you intended it that way, you are inspiring many of us to look at ourselves more closely and ask questions. For that - thank you very much.

It's perfectly ok to share the videos by sending or sharing a link to the video. Click the *Share* button below the video then copy the link and paste in any app: email, Twitter, Whatsapp, Facebook etc and send to the person. Their agents may be watching but we can never tell for sure because they can chose to ignore our "proposals" but when you send it to them, we can be sure that they at least saw them. It takes a lot to offend me on these KZbin streets o. Your comment did not even come close to offending me. If anything your comments made me feel for you because I felt you were not getting the happy vibes I and most people are getting from these videos. The aim of these videos is not to make people sad and disappointed.

In the next 10 years Anambra state will be the most civilised state in Nigeria. Na only money need to come into the state, just few investments. The villages are well planned, the three major cities are growing fast. Soon no citizen of Anambra will feel like living outside our great state. Beautiful Anambra. We have tile and made our state out of nothing without much and here we are growing very fast.
