5:40 It is a common misconception that Nigerians used humor as a coping mechanism. Infact, Nigerians biggest coping mechanism is the complaints without action, blaming game, Na God go help us and a sprinkle of e go better. We are simply noisemakers and love to tell ourselves that we are smart. We take people's personal success and call ourselves smart. Yet our society doesn't reflect that. Smart people solve problem and dont run from problems. We have 1940s problem still lingering till date with no solution.

Yesssss! The 1940’s comment! We have problem solvers In this country but we are constantly silenced by our ancestors in power! What happened to the Nigerians that impeached mediocrity?! What happened to the Nigerians that impeached mediocrity?! @Fatiee you need to talk about this!

There's no culture of solutionism, anyone who wants to solve problems will be frustrated (by govt and day to day citizens) till they give up. We have a culture of complaining

this is happening in black America as well in fact I reckon it's much more societally accepted. But imo I don't remember when it wasn't a thing for black people to play into the stereotypes the white patriarchs give us. Black face is more prevalent now than ever. Great content indeed we need you here pls never stop no matter what ejor ☺

I agreed with everything! It especially reinforces stereotypes and although we like to think that we are the GOAT in the industry because let’s face it, creators like Candace Owens, Chloe Bailey and so many others try to hype Nigerians up and boost our ego but we have to think about this on a deeper level. Not all attention is good attention!

Lovely video as usual ..❤ My advice would be to continue to make your content and your tribe and community would form around you As someone who also makes content it was something I had to come to terms with - I had to accept that the average Nigerian isn’t my target audience As long as the country keeps on going to jeopardy The fooling would only get worse lol.

Yesss, while I appreciate the Sam Spedy, Mark Angel, etc sort of content, the majority of the Naija skit space is mediocre at best. I disagree about the foreign perception, tho. Generally, Nigerians are thought to be poetic. That's why I appreciate video essays from the mainland. International audience is a double-edged sword, tho. More fickle than domestic
