If anything at all can lead to spiritual knowledge, or awareness of God, be that prostration or penance, great suffering or the consumption of poisons and medicines it should be taken as the path. There is no division on the journey of return. Teonanacatl is translated as Gods flesh. If, in your claimed state of ignorance, there appeared a teacher who offered for you to consume Gods flesh and with full faith and devotion and surrender you partook of that flesh, how could it ever lead you astray?
