I don’t think a lot of people realize what the USMTS is about, it’s very very rare to see some one new come into this series and run up front, there are guys who have been running this series for the past 15yrs and still not a consistent front runner and they have all the funding and equipment anyone could ever need, I’ll leave that for you guys to guess who I’m talking about. Maybe it’s time to give USMTS a break and stay up in the Midwest and race for a few weeks, you can find 3 or 4 decent races a week without tons of driving and gain a lot of experience and learn the different types of surfaces.

To be the best you have to race the best. Dang you've been at it fifteen years and not consistent maybe you should go run your local shows so you can get consistent. Or watch over the next fourteen years and see how consistent he could get with his backing, just cause you haven't got there doesn't say he won't. Just saying I bet you didn't win a heat or show up at the Dome in you first of fifteen did you. 😂

Have you ever tried to use leaf springs in the rear instead of coils? Coils are too soft. Have you ever heard of ivedent Lloyd from Ocala Florida? His car number is 21. His dad was the best setup man in the whole area. I had an IMCA modified he would not work on it unless it has leaf springs. He told me to put a set of Plymouth Duster springs on the rear. The bolt that holds the lease together are not in the middle of the spring they are upset to the front. This keeps the spring from twisting and coming up. Which holds the traction to the track. It made a world of a difference to hold the rear end down to get traction. It wouldn't take much to turn your coil-over rear end into a leaf spring rear end. And he always made sure that the left rear was the smallest tire on the car. After every race we would bring it in and jack it up in the rear and let the air out of the tire so it would not grow. We also ran Hoosiers. It's just a suggestion but it really worked great for us. Just thought I would pass that information along in case you were ever interested in trying something different and that is proven to work.
