Just like the Five Nights At Freddy's video games, all details in this movie are purposeful, and meaningful. We have tied our own lore into the lore you already know and theorize about, can you solve ours?
This movie's production faced many unfortunate issues. Most notably, much of the movie became corrupted at various stages of post production. And though most of the issues were able to be resolved in some capacity, this led to an inconsistent and choppy frame rate in a number of shots throughout the movie.

i can't even say how much i loved this movie. the plot was amazing! the way you built atmosphere was fantastic! and at the end you showed Mike speaking to his little brother so he could finally forgive himself! i was so excited for the fnaf movie that has to come out this year, but i don't think it's gonna be beter than this, thank you so much!

there is only one way to find out that the Five Nights at Freddy's movie will be better than this is to actually watch it and this with your own eyes, then compare the two, until then, no assuming is required, it is merely futile.

@@cawsomeaolin And that’s the problem I have with the fans. What’s the point of always dehumanizing dead children for the sake of it? No, Golden Freddy is not a god. He doesn’t solo the whole FNAF universe or whatever. FNAF isn’t a story about power, and I don’t see why people still got arguments over it. GF is a kid around 4-8yo, there may even be 2 kids sharing the suit based on the Fazbear Frights, who was brutally killed and shoved into a literal machine. He can barely twitch, and is always in pain. And no again, he didn’t create William a personal hell. It was proven to be a prolonged nightmare in William’s coma.

This is clearly done by professionals. I find it funny that the fans have made a full-length film, with quality storytelling and acting, with obviously a lower budget than any Hollywood or Universal film, and they made it quicker than the actual studio making the movie. Well fricken done. This is one of those movies i wish i had to pay to see.

In the 8 years of Fnaf, this is a perfect example of deadicated fans of the franchise. While Fnaf had its rocky moments throughout the years, it still stands as my favorite franchise. I can tell that the budget for this was pretty big, considering all the props and effort put into the details in the movie. This movie is amazing, and judging by the looks of the ending, I'm guessing you're maybe gonna release another one? Either way, this movie is amazing. I'm here to put my two cents in too. While I enjoyed the official movie, I think this one has much better pacing. Maybe there's not enough action for a cinematic experience, but the way the mystery builds up to the reveal is actually really good. I especially prefer Mike having to figure everything out himself instead of Vanessa or Abby just telling him. There's also the scene of Mike checking the cameras which were very underutilized in the movie. And as amazing as the reveal of William was in the official movie, I think this version of him is scarrier because he doesn't act over-the-top. Even though we have the official movie now, I'll always appreciate this one.

Just gave this a rewatch, and even though I think I already left a comment here, I'm pretty sure I finally figured out what makes this film in my opinion so much better than the official film: it has an actual vision and style, it isnt just a hodgepodge of random ideas. It isnt afraid to experiment and try things out or work with weird ideas, and when it does, it handles it with the correct amount of tact in order to keep it serious but highlight how, at its very core, FNAF is a pretty goofy story. Yet despite that, it manages to contain actual solid and relatable emotions with an ending of self-forgiveness. I read a comment here that this film reminded them of a Puppet Combo game, and I really love that comparison; from the chilling OST to the film grain (even if unintentional due to the corrupted footage), it feels like an old indie film made in the 90s, and I mean that in the best way. Really also gets the lore just right, tying in to the games nicely while still working as a fairly grounded surface level and self-contained story. The official movie, if you ask me, felt too clean, too bland and sterilized, especially in its lack of moral ambiguity and also lack of commitment to any real style other than generic shots and camera angles. It also relied too heavily on fan service, while this film has little to none that doesnt serve the plot in any manner. This just told the story of a fucked up nightguard dealing with unraveling trauma and having to INVESTIGATE (not get lore-dumped by a random cop) and SURVIVE (yes, not sleep, like he did in the official movie) five nights at the place where his traumas were born and lie dormant, waiting for him to confront them, while also leaving room to expand upon for possible sequels; exactly what the official film SHOULD'VE been like. This film aint perfect, but imo it will remain the best actual FNAF film that really exists and can be watched, start to finish, and I will always appreciate it for existing, even if you guys never make a sequel (which you confirmed you wouldn't, I watched all the behind the scenes and Q&A stuff too!)

@ExtraQuestionableContent
@ExtraQuestionableContent 5 ай бұрын
@garrettmurphy2447 I don't have an issue with the movie trying to be different from the game's lore, not at all, but it felt to me the official movie just took the cliffnotes of the games/books lore and put it in without any of the depth it originally had. For example, springlocks in the games are treated as a thing that make logical sense but can, under rare circumstances, go extremely wrong. In the official movie, however, they are just a torture device made by Afton (and an inconsistent one at that. Why can Vanessa activate the springlocks of the Ella doll with just a broom but William Afton, in a suit of springlocks, can push, kick, and get shot by a bullet without it going off?) In the BTS of the official movie, before it came out, one of the actual cinematographers said they wanted the film to feel like the Shining, and I would've loved that. "We wanted Freddy's to feel like the Overlook Hotel of pizzerias." Awesome. Problem is none of that is present in the cinematography; Stanley Kubrick used intense and unorthodox shots to highlight the surreal nature of the events, sprinkling in cryptic messages all throughout. Furniture would move slightly in between shots with no explainable meaning. The official movie, however, in my opinion, only has a few shots that stand out to me. Sure, there's references and fan service, which I definitely enjoyed, but that alone doesn't hold up a film, at least for me. I appreciate Scott Cawthon's work, but I honestly feel like he played it too safe for movie, trying to appeal to everyone, which in turn made it stand out less, something the classic games never struggled with. I'm not gonna say there was no passion or love behind the real movie, because Scott was behind it and I know he cares about this franchise; it just felt muddied to me is all, without a clear vision because Scott wanted to appeal to every single type of fan. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't one of those types, or maybe I was supposed to be, but it just didn't work for me. And I was loving the trailers for the official movie as well! The premise sounded solid, the cast was loaded, but I just think Scott played it too safe. Personally, I prefer a slightly technically weaker film that has a clear, unique vision and dedicates itself to it rather than a bigger budget film that's unsure of what it wants to be or adapt. I don't want to dissuade your argument or anything, we may never agree, but I've been thinking long and hard about this and I have a lot to say about it. I'm sure Scott will come into his own with the sequel films, and he'll find exactly what he wants to do and where he wants to take the franchise, I just may no longer be interested in it if it takes a direction I don't care for, and that's totally fine. Wow this was long, sorry for dumping like 5 paragraphs on you lol

Thank you for watching our movie with some nuance. Night Five is by no means perfect (I don’t think it’s even that good after a year and a half of reflection), but comments like these make everything we went through to get it done worth it. I’m so glad you liked what we did. Also, just for the record, the film grain aesthetic was always the plan! The missing frames was just something we had to put up with. If you want more info on the BTS and making of the movie, I put out a video on my channel talking about it a few months back (not sure if that’s what you meant by “the Q&A stuff”)
@ExtraQuestionableContent
@ExtraQuestionableContent 5 ай бұрын
@@GamerSketch Yep, I watched that Q&A video, plus the movie commentary (I could never forget "His chin looks like a ballsack"). To be honest I'd never heard of the Ex Blue channel before this, but I do love watching passionate indie films on KZbin, so when KZbin recommended me a full-length fan film of a franchise I've been a part of for nearly a decade I was very curious, and I definitely wasn't disappointed, though I did have my issues with the film past the technical issues and the visual effects on the animatronics. Watching the official movie 3 months ago has really gotten me back into thinking about this franchise, and it really disappointed me with its lack of any clear vision, and I like to occassionally rewatch segments of Night Five when it pops back in my recommended every once in a while and say "Damn, if only the official movie was more like this." Like I said, I don't think Night Five is a perfect film, but the effort and care for this franchise really shine through in this project, at least it did for me, and the ending is seriously solid. To see creators who have similar opinions and visions for this goofy franchise as I do actually come together and make something is just awesome to see. I have a feeling if you guys were given a chance at a redo and granted the keys to make an official FNAF movie with Blumhouse's budget and production, maybe even alongside Scott, it could seriously be truly amazing. Either way I'd definitely love to see more filmmaking from you guys in general, even if it isn't FNAF related or even on this channel.

this is such a fantastic fan film! I've been looking forward to this since it was announced, and it did not disappoint. The story was great, and i loved seeing your guys spin on things, like the training tapes mixed with the voice messages from Johnathan, and the mini-game nightmares were such a clever way to incorporate those parts of the games. This movie also surprisingly creeped me out in many places! There's so many stand out scenes to me, like foxy slowly leaning toward mike under the desk, Golden Freddy sitting in the corner of Mike's bedroom, the scene where Mike flips the tables and finds the hidden room. Or seeing Golden Freddy in at Evan's grave. I especially love how you guys portrayed William Afton. If I'm being honest, in the games William has become a bit of a joke and not the creepy killer he used to be, but this movie captures that creepy factor again! the whole car park scene was so cool! William just being creepyily in the background watching Mike was so unsettling, and when he confesses his murders to Mike and tells him to leave before he kills him again was really unnerving! Johnathan's screams on the night 4 tape were so realistic and gut wrenching, definitely the best piece of acting in the movie. Some areas could have been better, like i feel that the news report at the start was a bit of an info dump and didn't flow too great in my opinion. The editing in some areas as well could have been done better. But don't get me wrong, the positives MASSIVELY outweigh the negatives! I can tell you guys are passionate about your work, and overall this was just a fun creepy FNaF experience. Excellent work guys👌

i watched this right when it came out & over the months for the coming fnaf movie, and after watching the (official) fnaf movie the other day, i can def say i prefer this version. the official movie, while enjoyable and higher budget im sure, disappointed me. it felt like it was created as a rewrite of the fnaf series, a retelling, rather than a movie for the fans. so im so glad this version you made exists! i can tell it really was created by fans, for fans. thank you :)

It was really impressive given your little pool of resources! Well done to everyone who helped create a lovely fan film for all us FNAF nerds ❤ Again so sorry you had to deal with the corrupt files and delayed primer, but it was worth the wait! ✨🐤🦊🐰🐻✨

I've always been a fan of vengeful c.c aus, but the way you guys did Michael's atonement, I absolutely love. Especially when Evan didn't need or have to forgive him, but in the end Evan made that choice and knew Mike was trying to help. You don't have a lot of actual characters that do atonement. And I also really love the little "Hi Mike" my heart 😭❤️

49:39 the way William was so calm and is smiling a little bit while he was trying to hide that he killed was so evil and cool

The soundwork on Night 4 after the power went out was simply oustanding. Everything from the tone-rising music box music, to the complete silence and the beep that continued after. I felt terrified when watching!

This is absolutely astonishing, the fact that more people aren’t freaking out about it this is almost outrageous. I’ve been a part of this fandom since 5th grade and honestly I never really wanted there to be a Fnaf movie. I thought there was no way a movie could capture what made Fnaf special. But… lo and behold. You guys did an incredible job. This makes me actually excited to see the official Fnaf movie, and it also makes me so, so happy that such dedicated, creative, talented individuals have found a home in the Fnaf fandom. The dedication and faithfulness in this movie is just remarkable.

the fnaf fan movie on budget has so much better and more canon writing than the actual, official, fnaf movie that was also written by the Scott Cawthon himself, i think that says alot about the current fnaf franchise

Honestly yeah, if this got a bigger budget, you could do so much more, better acting, better cinematography, technical stuff like sound. While the OST for the official FNAF movie is pretty good, this movie's OST fits a lot more for me. The ambience + grunge rock-ish songs feel era- appropriate and also fit with Micheal Afton's personality and character and the general world of FNAF imo.
