NIGHT IN THE WOODS INSPIRED PAINTING! 15 inch acrylic painting process!

Are you a cozy gamer? Night in the Woods is a great game and I highly recommend it! In Mae's dream world, she encounters an astral fish. It was so vivid and different, I had to paint it. So today, I conquer my fear of large canvases to bring this painting to life.

In miniature painting, most of my paint is translucent and requires many (2-3) coats to give a even opaque coverage. Higher pigmented paints always cost more but are very worth it if you want single coat applications, OR you use a darker primer, like a dark grey or black and use a white pencil to sketch. Both give different final top coat looks though, rather than white. But I love that you just went for the large canvas; feet first!

I've always wanted to try painting miniatures! I think a darker coat with a few layers of that blue would have helped, but as it was, I don't think it would have ever worked lol.
