Night of the comet 40 years later review

In 1984 Night of the comet was born and its become a 80s cult classic, its certainly one of my favorite horror movies of all time and with it being 2024 I thought id see how this movie still held up 40 years later.

Excellent review! I saw this in 1984 at the age of sixteen and it still resonates strongly as one of the great additions to post-apocalypse cinema, up there with Five (1951) which kicked it all off with Los Angeles as the setting of the end of civilization as we know it, an incredible string of classics we all know like Ray Milland's Panic in Year Zero (1962), The Last Man on Earth (1964), The Omega Man (1971), and so on.

I’m 1:17 into this video and I am pausing to come back later. It just checked and this film is actually free on KZbin, and it sounds like JUST MY VIBE!! But I will definitely come back to finish your review after I watch it later.

@@martinchatz7346 I think the concept was great. It was a bit slower-paced than I was expecting, but I loved the set designs and costumes. I think there is a lot of remake potential. Edit: oh yea, and it was great to see Robert Beltran. I’m a Star Trek fan.

Love this movie. It's almost a time capsule of the 80s. Fun double feature with Night of the Creeps.

yea growing up I loved that channel, they’d have movie marathons on the weekends, Daredevil, the punisher, the halloween series, Batman 1989, they played it all, all kinds of movies from the late 70s to the early 2000s.

A "Chic Flick"? C'mon bruh. Nobody thought that in the 80's! It was a dope movie! You had the smarter older sister & the impulsive younger sister. Who doesn't know those people!! We didn't care if a female was the protagonist, snowflake!! Everything has to check a box nowadays

Martin didnt say anything that wasnt true this movie IS a chick flic they literally have the song girls just wanna have fun in it, it a movie with 2 females as the lead dancing around shopping around this is a chick flick obviously no one was smart in the 80s if yall didnt realize that.
