Que hermoso concierto uno de los que me llega al alma y me hace disfrutar del sonido, buena combinación de la musica clásica con la moderna, bella, de alguna forma va quedando en los corazones de los más jóvenes que era realmente musica no quiero decir que hoy en día no exista, pero son pocos los que nos une, voy a ser su seguidor esperando otros conciertos como este

Those backup singers are having the time of their lives there! Singing the unison line together with Anastacia right in the spotlight! And Joe WIlliams is on FIRE here! He even sang parts he usually skips. I also like the orchestra is not afraid of pop and rock songs and electronic instruments. I just wish the mix was better, the dynamic compression sucks the life out of everything.

Simon Phillips left Toto in 2014 😂 In ten years they had 3 drummers already. The utterly amazing Shannon Forrest is back with them! And here are only the Toto "frontmen". And pro musicians backup band from NL etc. With a few songs and their gear etc it was probably also budget and agenda wise not possible to get their whole band up there. All the guys are very busy musicians. Plus they are about to start a very big and long tour. First Europe and then USA etc.

Brilliant line up, great music of course but why was Rosanna played at 100 miles an hour? As a sometime professional session drummer, I have learned to slow things down, perhaps even a little slower than was originally recorded, it just keeps everything calm and relaxed, and is much easier to play through for everyone - otherwise it sounds rushed and like the band just wants to get the job done double quick and head off to the bar!!. My rule, always listen to the tempo of the original, speak to the other band members to make sure they want it played at the same tempo, and then tell them in that case let me lead it in a tiny bit slower than that when we go live, and that will stop us from rushing through it. I don't get how experienced professional musicians - especially the drummer, he seemed to be getting faster and faster - speed up like that. And with a snare sound that just sounded flat and lifeless, no penetration, no note, no musicality. The back of a half-empty biscuit tin has more going for it than his snare.

Es ist sehr schade, dass die Night of the Proms immer mehr zu einer Veranstaltung für Musiker und Bands wird, denen nichts Neues mehr einfällt und die ihre ehemalige Popularität hier vermarkten können. Und das Publikum wird für 90 Minuten nostalgisch gerührt und darf sich noch einmal jung fühlen. Bitte nicht falsch verstehen, hier treten größtenteils fantastische Musiker auf, nur künstlerische Relevanz geht von diesen weichgespülten Arrangements nicht aus.
