I really like and appreciate your enthusiasm and knowledge, and especially your organised approach to the grade. It has deepened my understanding of how Resolve and all it's tools work together. Many thanks. For television references, I don't think many shows beat Hannibal, which is from years ago and was only three seasons -- certainly nothing from a network comes close. Season 3 is unbelievable and a scene on a train from ep 4 or 5 is masterful in its use of shadows.

Hello Qazi! Amazing resources you are putting out there. Only among the very few youtube contents I will give half an hour of my time 🙌 I have a bit of a question I would appreciate your (or anyone's) experience with. Do you think a 10-bit 4:2:2 footage shot in HD will hold up better than an 8-bit 4:2:0 4K downsampled, where the final output is HD? I mean in terms of latitude to push things around. I have a camera that does the later internally, and I want to know if acquiring an old, affordable Atomos Ninja Blade to output HD 10-bit has any advantage over it. Thoughts?

Have you toyed around with saturation and hues on darker and lighter skintones in the same frame? Did you isolate (qualify) each by using two separate nodes? Take the skintones from this and add someone like the gymnast (I think it was Simone Biles) that you used in another tute for example.

Great tutorial, really love it. Just one simple question: you are grading a full image (including black bars), so when you add noise, you add noise on the black bars. Why do you use the format of the image (which is not 16/9)? It will be more easy to see what happen on the blacks in the scope? Correct me if I’m wrong.

Hey thanks for the videos! I am grading a music video and when I put 3 simple nodes and put the lut on the 3rd then try to adjust the second node for shadows and highlights it react weird? Stretches out the mid times or when I try to bring up the shadows a little bc the lut pushed it below the “safe” area, the shadows don’t move up normally, they get like stretched or act differently. I also noticed like this node before the Lut has like a qualifier layer on it? Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you!!

Hey! Loving your content it's really helping me become a better colorist! But, I was wondering if you could do a video on editing 'One Take' footage. As you know, these shots have lighting setups that constantly change which greatly affects your color in the image. I think it can help a lot of your audience as the techniques within this tutorial can be applied to every project.

Can you make a tutorial about the good old classic film look?😍🎥 Can't really find anything useful online. (Examples: Jaws, Jurassic Park, Good Will Hunting, Stand By Me, or any good 70s 80s movie look). Thanks Qazi
