I was reminded of my childhood summer holidays when people of our society gather together at night playing badminton, having gossip, eating ice cream and having funny conversations with customers. Also once many relatives were sleeping on the roof during midnight who came to attend a wedding in a village and again some music and conversation was going on😂😂😂 Also Missing you Prabha Atre ji. Her voice is also similar to Padma ji. What a pure, pleasant and divine raga. Beautiful!😊

Such is the glory of Indian music and culture! This is real music that uplifts ones senses and relaxes your mind and soul, not the so called modern music which is chaotic and noisy.

Avery. That comment sounded itself like a Raga. As someone equally moved by Beethoven,s 9th symphony 3rd movement, as Raga Hamir , I deeply appreciate your sensitivities! And exhort you to listen to the first alap section of the first Raga in this album, (Hamir) at dead of night with earphones. I hear the primordial sound. Would be very happy to know what you hear. Happy listening to the masters.

How does that make any sense. Neanderthals even played the flute. Well it still is a beautifully original form, 1500BC though is not so ancient.

It's a paradox, Islam is supposed to be religion of peace, they have such beautiful soulful music and yet they are often behind all terrorist attacks, killing innocent people. Listening to this music makes me think about all those poor innocent people, it is so sad and ironic.

Where are you coming from? All this music is Hindustani Music..Some people in the Mughal times might have incorporated Urdu lyrics but it is 100% originated from Hinduism.. Islam considers music as Haraam..it is a barbaric, uncivilised rehash of Hindu and pantheistic ideology which existed in Arabia before Islam. Islam is not a peaceful religion period.

Profiledek not a paradox . Whoever has told you has fooled you . Agreed that there are many singers who are muslims , but this music is 100% authentic Indian Classical music 1000s of years old.

Profiledek it's neither a Paradox or an Irony. This Music has nothing to do with Islam. These Ragas, musics all are part of Hindu Religion. Only they were also sung in Mughal courts. No other relation with Islam.Infact Islam prohibited any kind of entertainment ..

Profiledek are you on high weeds? This classical music has base in Hinduism. We even have Natyashastra scripture on classical music and dance written 2600 years back. Islam and muslim has nothing to with music. Listen to these ragas they are Indian. Not Arabic, persian or turkish. So stop your utter rubbish claim
