I understand what Cenk is trying to do. But as someone who grew up in a small white town where as the white Jew I was the 'ethnically diverse' student in my school, I can say from years of dealing with these kinds of people that he is wrong at how to approach them. People with generational white supremecy beliefs aren't going to be changed by meeting one Muslim or black person who they can get along with, being able to be fake nice is also generationally bred into these people. The reality is that when someone is wrong, you need to call them out on being wrong; when someone is racist, tell them they are being racist; if someone is saying someone that is white supremacist, call them a white supremacist. In my experience 1 of 2 things happen, either they get defensive and shut down or they are willing to learn more and try to improve. Help the ones that want to be helped, leave the others alone, they aren't saveable.

I would say Cenk is a charlatan rather than a grifter, I feel that label fits his trajectory better. What cemented that title for me was Cenk selling off the name of TYT'S main production studio, originally funded through member donations, to Polymarket, a political, crypto gambling site. In Cenk's words, It is now "Polymarket Studios"... Cenk's main claim to fame for decades has been "getting money out of politics" yet, he took big donor investments into his failed political campaigns which only served to advertise his book and need for attention. I don't think anyone is more built for this task than Marc, and he was even better than I expected when I saw the title. Cenk's evasiveness on this topic is so central to his making his thesis even begin to sound like it makes sense, and Mark doesn't let him slip or slide anywhere. Just heroic work right here. At this point, I think Cenk believes a lot of what he says on some level, but he's deluding himself.
