@@bradydavidson6248 truth is, a lot of cops are poorly trained and would rather bully civilians driving over the speed limit than catch actual killers and hardened criminals because its a lot harder and more dangerous.. like the cowards in Uvalde, 25+ cops standing around a door doing nothing while kids where getting shot cause they're too chicken to go in and engage.. there are a lot of cops that do their job well, but the thing is the barrier of entry into law enforcement in this country is very low... any with a GED can go and pass the academy lol

I got pulled over the other day going 65 in 50 on a county road, the deputy was very nice and gave me a warning being I had a CDL with a perfect record, it’s been years since I was pulled over for speeding and I did need the scare and needed to be told to slow down. Sometimes people get a little careless and just need that reminder that they really need to slow down.

Happened to me but unfortunately the cop wasn’t picking up what I was puttin down lol and I got a 80 dollar ticket!! I contested it and when I had court tho, i won!! Judge dismissed it! YAY!! Traffic stops and responding to calls is probably the funniest part of patrolling. (Just me, I'm 13 and going to 14 in April 22nd. And I'm going to the explorer program for my hometown. So I just think traffic stops and responding to calls looks fun to me)

Most of the time it is uneventful, obviously depends on the area you're in, but majority of the time you respond to calls where you just talk to people and settle stuff. It's really not all the crazy shit you see on the news and stuff like that. They all have different districts they get assigned to for their patrol so that plays a factor as well.

Prima Murdock I went on a ride along last year and we had 2 calls in a 12 hour shift at night in Saginaw Mi. The first was for a Home Invasion from a few days before. And the 2nd call was for a possible apartment building on fire with entrapment (we got called off on our way there) as there was no fire and FD was on scene already.

Robert Schechter is that a bad, “Oh My.”? 9 MPH over is speeding, and the officer could take your license if they felt like it. Lesson is, is don’t speed. There is a 4-6 mph Leniency when comes to speeding. After that it’s a ticket-able offense.

They actually can it is public information. Now if they do not show the faces that's fine but the audio is no different than what they are recording since you can go and ask for those things for public release. Therefore it is no different. Shows do it all the time. Even the PD in my area shows and gives audio especially on public information requests they have to. There is nothing preventing them from doing it.

You obviously are unaware that I can go to the local PD after seeing a traffic stop with time and date and car number and request the video and audio of the stop under the freedom of information act and receive those items. As long as the face and personal information of the individual or the plate are not made public they CAN release those for immediate use as in with the local news agencies doing ride alongs for stories. So Yes you too are partially right but you are not totally correct I know this first hand because I have done it. I have also been there when the PD is giving the news reports the guidelines for live stops to be aired before trial etc. It is done all the time. So I guess both are partially right. And by the way ,,,, I to had served time with the local sheriffs department working at the jail And on patrol. Thank you for your input. Departmental Policies are Much different than the law and many times people skew those lines not realizing that. Thank you for your feedback and have a nice day :)
