This is a single credit clear of Night Slashers Remake.
This version of the Data East Classic is functional yet a janky, broken mess that my friend warned me about, with half baked physics and an art style that looks like a bad episode of Archer.
Not to say I didn't have fun with some of it.
It's a quick playthrough, get's rid of some of the annoying object collision, auto-scrolling sections from the original, new character art is decent and the remixed music is pretty good.
There's even a new character who is a nice addition.
The controls are responsive and you can dash very easily.
It's also only 10 dollars.
Unwanted features of this game include:
Constant chip damage from everything.
Bizarre enemy behaviors.
Wonky ragdoll physics.
Getting stun locked by bosses.
Boss AI forgetting you are there.
No I-frames on throws
Unavoidable attacks with no indication where they will hit.
and many more.
I don't really recommend this game unless you have exhausted all other options.
you can always check it out for the sheer curiosity or for multiplayer reasons. (Could be fun with Friends or Alcohol.)
