Omg. I remember the sheer terror and excitement of this game. That deep, twanging bass noise in the background haunts me to this day. I remember the invisible robot.

I waited 6 months after ordering my intellivision before came back in stock. watching the tv ads compairing Atari 2600 sports to intellivision sports sold me and we played it for hours hockey was favorite but this was one owned along third party games like several imagic titles.

It's amazing how much these simple sounds take me back. I was never any good at this but my dad was a fanatic. He'd come home from work, tell em to fire up the Intellivision, and we'd either play B-17 Bomber (iirc), or I'd watch him play this. I must have been about 5 or 6, and I'd die laughing when the monsters would 'eat his house', when the spider would make him stumble, and when invisible monster would finally kill him.

Night Stalker and Tron Deadly Discs are my favorite Intellivision games. I know the thumb disc controls are tricky but with enough practice you can make those circles dance...

Fuckin' spawn camper robot! (16:50 - I *HATED* it when that happened. I'd have a great run going, and that would eat up all my remaining lives in no time.) I don't think I ever got past the black robot, but my mom kicked *ASS* at this game - she could get to the invisible robot regularly. Usually only stopped playing because she got bored after a while.

GG! I like the way you just go right at it, and not stay in the bunker at all. I'd bunker until 30k (Black robot is doable in bunker) - and also, if the gray's or the spider got close, just shoot them. You also are emulating, or have the best intellivision controller ever :) Some of that mid "hallway" was difficult when I grew up.

I've never seen the Invisible Robot until now. He really does make the game harder, just a desperate bid to survive. Usually the Black Robot gets me trapped in a spawn camp and I lose.

Getting to the invisible robot I believe felt just like an amazing accomplishment at 10 years old or so . Then followed by .. getting a shot on him.. then working the bunker trick to sneak in a few more .. did u need 5 shots to get him or 3 ? I recall hours upon hours of this game .. played it so much the circular controller stopped working .. anyone else had that intellivision problem ? The darn circular pad stops working randomly then pushing it harder worked until it culminated to pounding it on the couch edge ..
@thesnare1009 жыл бұрын
What happens if you get enough points to go over 999,999- does the game crash? If it does, guess that's the only way to "win" the game.
