All you can do is start and ease into it, sometime getting over it is just doing it. You never know where it will take. But I do understand.

Really nice tips. It’s been so upsetting to feel intimidated to go out at night to shoot lately since here in Los Angeles we’ve been having a huge spike in armed robbery, especially in downtown which happens to be one of my favorite places to shoot. It’s getting to the point I have to be on my toes in broad daylight which is frustrating when you are just trying to enjoy the city. Keeping your camera in the bag up until you shoot is good advice for sure but at the same time it can be the reason you miss the shot that happened in an instant. I guess this makes getting those shots all the more satisfying and meaningful.

Hey. I plan on doing night street photography when I heal. I had my gallbladder out last Friday (4/16/2021). It was an emergency surgery, had a gallstone attack. Your videos have been my entertainment since I haven't been able to go out. I am hoping to go this weekend (depends on how I feel). I appreciate the hard work. Thanks for the content.

Another safety tip is to have a spotter with you to warn of traffic hazards.. I do alot of storefront night stuff and cars can really sneak up on you while you're framing and shooting a shot!

Hey Evan, you’re videos are very helpful… I’ve been watching your videos for a while now … learnt about the pro mist filter here first and I don’t know why but I’ve seen a lot of videos but this morning I watched two of your videos with respect to editing and getting the colours right and suddenly it just clicked. Thank you for all your efforts man. Wish you the very best in life! I just want clarity in one part of photography - how do you go about whiteblance ? - what’s you’re process Do you leave it in auto and then adjust it to the way you saw the picture in person or just mess around the kelvin numbers in camera to what matches closely to what you’re seeing or use a whibal card? How do you go about ? The only thing that seems like an issue is that if don’t match the white balance exactly on scene and then later forget what the scene looked like in person - otherwise it’s not an issue But would like to know you’re process and what works for you as I assume you would have had to process a larger number of photos from various shoots/lights / conditions all at once. Thank you

one really important thing you didn't mention is water (yes at some point you say reflections) just carry a bottle opf water with you everywhere to help with reflections, in nearly all your photos there is a wet surface or a puddle to make the reflection another tip might be just to carry water with you

great tips man! I have a question about your first tip. When using a camera that doesn’t have a full frame sensor (an APS-C in my case) do I have to apply the conversion to full frame? for example, if i’m using a 35mm lens on my APA-C camera (around 50mm equivalent) my shutter speed should be double, so around 1/100 of a second?
