Watching this to see how I can support my wife in our nightly routine. Our daughters 2 weeks old and we love her so much. Being a dad has changed my life forever. That nursing at 3am ain’t no joke! I try to keep my wife company and have light conversations to keep her awake. The nights are tough but we are getting through it. Thanks for all the great suggestions in your video!!! Respect 💯

I'm so excited I'm crying so much thinking about having my baby in my arms. It's my first pregnancy and I'm just so so excited. I've wanted this for so long, but didn't find the right person or it wasn't the right time for me... but now it's happened, it's finally here and I just can't wait. I know it will be hard (or I can imagine it, moms use to say that you think you know but you don't know haha) and it will be difficult, sometimes so tiring, sacrifices and mistakes... but I just can't wait to have my baby, to see them grow, to see them smile, talk, look, ask questions, go to school, to educate them, raised them, have chats with them even worry to death!! I was born to be a mom I know I was. Thank you so much for this video, I am subscribing right now and I will definitely check your vids out. When feeding during the night keep the lights as dim as possible to keep the room dark so the baby isn’t woken up too much, knows that it is still night and it helps them to settle down again.

Didn't even want to fall asleep in those. Unfortunately I could not afford such a luxurious rockibg cradle and baby wanted not only fall asleep by my side by on me which meant even less sleep as I had to stay alerted.
@desiderata1985 Жыл бұрын
Well if it keeps her up and alerted which is safer for baby than mum falling asleep while feeding as it becomes very exhausting and all wake ups are sliding into one blur. I know that this is possible. Although I needed only dim light myself sometimes though I had to have some kind of noise to keep me up like eaio very quietly. My baby was feeding very unevenly. Started with very long feeds probably due to small let down to shorter ones but more frequent like 2 feeds every 1.5h or 2 one with longer break like 3h or even 3.5. My baby didn like to be swaddled and

Haven’t read all the comments.... but for night feedings, you might want to limit interactions w baby so he’s less stimulated. Save all the talking and smiling for daytime hours of wakefulness. Then she still didn’t sleep unless I rocked her for hours and made sure I had a huge supply of milk for her to drink (for about an hour) before she finally fell asleep around midnight, only to wake up again in 2-3 hours for her next session. I’m so jealous of how easy it is to put him down 😭

Awww sucha cute baby. I gave birth almost 5 weeks ago, towards the end of my pregnancy I couldn't wait for it to be over, I then gave birth to my boy via cesarean and when I first got back from the hospital, although I loved my baby however I found the baby blues so difficult combined with postpartum depression, I was constantly crying, missing my old life, exhausted and tired of changing nappies and being sleep deprived, as the weeks have gone on and my boy only awake twice at night now ive slowly starting to feel myself again, not completely but getting there. As he is growing and learns something new everyday it just makes me so happy, everyone always says it gets better, I've started to believe it now. Just stay strong mamas, it may be a tedious and exhausting process but it will pass and as your baby develops a little personality it's well worth it.

This makes me so nervous!! I’m 6 weeks away from giving birth and just having the routine down packed scares me!!! Just praying it will all be ok... ❤️ thank you for sharing that helps a lot with the set up of things to make life easy.

Try not to stress! You’ll find that the routine sometimes finds you. You can plan and plan but sometimes baby has other plans but they do have their own routine.

@@kathryncavaretti3956 thank you for that advice Kathryn ❤️ I’ll take it one step at a time. Oh man my doctor said we may see baby earlier so in the next two weeks. Slightly nervous with the birthing situation 😖 just the pain but I know I am going to be in good hands 😊
@kathryncavaretti39564 жыл бұрын
Is there a reason for seeing baby sooner? With my first they kept telling me that I wouldn’t make it past Christmas (my due date was 1/4) but I knew in my heart baby was in no rush lol. She ended up coming January 10th. Good luck whenever baby may come. If you’re planning a vaginal birth, I highly recommend reading ina Mays guides to childbirth. Also watching some different scenario birth vlogs. I found that helped me with my first to feel a little less scared and more prepared
@kathryncavaretti39564 жыл бұрын
@@michellefox5749 also just remember that the pain is temporary. It’s different for me because it’s productive pain. I like to think of them of letting waves crashing over me. I feel like when I forgot that is when it felt the most overwhelming. I used a doula with my second and it was well worth it to me

@@kathryncavaretti3956 ohh I she’ll check it out thank you😊 baby has been measuring small. At 32 weeks baby was in the 4th percentile so my OBGYN wants me to have a scan this coming Monday and said would be good to get baby out at 38 weeks just to be on the safe side. Definitely opting for vaginal birth and a go with the flow approach, I have watched every season of “one born every minute hehe”

Thank you so much for filming this. It was so comforting to watch another newborn baby and mama’s routine and to know that someone else has gone through the same experience as me and that my routine is similar to yours and I’m sure similar to many other mom’s out there. You are such a rockstar for being able to film + take such great care of your baby and yourself. God Bless

Lovely Vlog. I’m going to be a new dad in 3 months and trust me I am learning so much how to deal with the new born and how to support my wife. This is going to be our first kid so very excited and little bit nervous as well. Also I live in Qatar with my wife. I want to ship all the things you are using for the baby, for my wife here. Can you please tell me where you got them from? Also the drinks you are taking post baby to help my wife heal after birth. Thank you so much. God bless you and your family. You both are a lovely couple.
