Brings this 62 yr old Oma of 2 and mom of 3 adult sons back to their 5, 3 and 2 week early newborn stages! They were small like your sweet little daughter. I actually enjoyed them being small longer. Trust me it’s not easy!! I made sure to show Navy crying in these clips because that’s real life. The first 2 weeks of her life I had really bad baby blues and I cried every day for no reason! Thankfully the baby blues are gone, but they were really bad this time around. I get overwhelmed too but I just try to take a deep breath and stay calm! My house would be a disaster if my husband didn’t help me clean it. You’re not alone! 🤍

Our NICU nurse gave us some wonderful advice for newborn bath time. Swaddle them with a cotton swaddle and then lay them in their tub and pour the water over them. You can then take out one limb at a time to soap, rinse it and swaddle it back up before moving on to the other limb. Then you unswaddle and can bathe their privates. By unswaddling at the very end the cry time drastically decreases because you don't have much left to wash!

Even though it was 27 years ago, this was my routine with my son, almost to a t. There weren’t any super fancy pumps back then, and what was available cost a fortune and weighed a ton. I kept my son in a bassinet right next to my bed too, and I would also sleep on my stomach so I could keep one hand on his back because, like probably all mom’s, I had a fear that he would stop breathing. Yours is such a beautiful baby!

This us very sweet, but it’s a bit deceiving. First time I watch your beautiful video / baby. Most kitchens are not sparkly clean, quiet baby. Babies can scream their heads off, and having beautiful routines DON’T help at all sometimes. Again, I loved the video, but I’m reading the comments and most of them have not had a baby yet! This is very Disney stuff. I would appreciate you showing the real stuff so mom’s don’t feel like failures when reality…hits them in the ass. Which it will.

Absolutely. I personally get very anxious and overwhelmed if my kitchen isn't clean, which is why it's always clean. I absolutely prioritize it each evening after dinner to clean it before bed. My middle son Noah was not an easy baby at all, however Navy was a blessing. She was the easiest baby I've had so far. 💛

Aw congratulations! There are no dumb questions! 💛 I used it all up when I went back to work with both of my boys, but now I stay at home so I’ll probably end up donating most of it! If you’ll be doing back to work, I’d highly highly suggest getting a freezer stash started! You can pump as often or as little as you would like! With my boys I pumped after every feed because I wanted a big freezer stash, but with Navy I pump after she’s done eating in the morning and before we go to bed. 😊

I exclusively breastfed with my first son and never did bottles or freezer bags. This time I am doing freezer bags + bottles. But I have no idea how to thaw the milk or even warm up the breast milk in the bottle. Do you have any tips? 💜 Navy is absolutely precious. 🥰😍 I can’t deal with it.

Yes! When I’m using frozen pumped milk, I thaw the milk over night in the refrigerator and then heat it up in the Baby’s Brew bottle warmer when I’m ready to use it! I love that thing. If you need to thaw the milk instantly, just run it under warm water until it’s melted. Before I had the Baby’s Brew, I would just sit the bottle in warm water until it was warmed up but that took forever so if you can, definitely invest in the Baby’s Brew. Awww..so precious. My son was 6lbs and he is now very solid and the same weight as his sister who’s 11 months older. My youngest(6weeks) was expected to be only 3/4 lbs, but ended being my biggest baby at a little over 7lbs!

Some days it’s a struggle but they don’t take naps anymore so usually they’re ready to go to bed by 7:30! My hubby still has to lay down with them in their room until they fall asleep though! Thank you so much! 💛

She woke up on her own, but I would’ve set an alarm for myself if she was sleeping longer than 3 hours until she was back up to her birth weight. 😊

To feed! She still had to eat every 3 hours when she was 2 weeks old until she was back up to her birth weight 😊

I am curious about how most moms get their babies to sleep in a bassinet or crib instead of in their arms. When you laid your baby down in the "snuggle me" and left to pump milk, did she just fall asleep on her own? After each nursing session throughout the night, did she just stay asleep when you laid her down in the bassinet, or did she fuss a little and then fall back asleep?
