Same, sometimes when I walk the streets (Netherlands) I feel ashamed how some people just don't care and throw garbage on the streets 😓

Thank you Rambalac, I like the variety of your walks. Some are quiet residential and parks, or this one between the Palace and Shinjuku with all the tourists. So much to see in that great city!

In spite of the cancelled lanterns festival the atmosphere along the moat was fine, in the light rain the colors and lights look still brighter 🌧💙! Loved later when the view across the river and railway opened - trains, the station from the bridge 🤗... Sorry about the music issues, but so it goes 😓🙂 (Whenever your shadow waves, I must wave back 😂👍)

Beautiful, peaceful walk. Some of the trees along the moat are wrapped in something like plastic or canvas. Does anyone know what it is for?

The main reasons for wrapping plastic around old cherry trees are: Preventing decay: If the cherry tree is decaying, wrapping plastic over the chemicals applied will prevent rainwater and moisture from getting in and slow the progression of decay.
