@@welshboi2228 Those were some of my favorite times in Original Thomas, zooming in to the little wooden men who ran the engines. "How's you're fire today?" "Never better sire, and plenty of steam." He could ask Henry, but he asks the guy in charge of tending the fire. Without his driver and firer, Henry is a cold engine, fast asleep. The engines need their drivers and firers, and they need their engines. It's a huge missed opportunity to relegate them to the background. I've often felt it would be nice to see a bit more personality from the crews. We get glimpses of it at times. Even now, I doubt there's ever really been an episode about an engine fighting a temporary driver. Which is a shame cause that writes itself. Jame's driver being shifted to Toby for a day, how confused would he be? Would he complain at Toby? Who blames their engines, rather than realizing the fault is with them, needing to adjust to a different engine?

I just noticed the whistle in the beginning wasn't no ordinary whistle, it is HENRY'S whistle, or more accurately, his whistle from The Railway Series books 😁

Its a whistle based on the Stanier hooter whistle which was used on most LMS locomotives designed by William Stanier including the Black Fives which is what Henry is based on.
