I now know I'm really old, because I remember the first time music like this was all over the charts (80s/90s) and I'm just really happy to hear these guys reinvigorating the genre along with bands like 'The Paper Kites' and 'Cigarettes After Sex'. I grew up in the 90s but loved 80s music the most. I always told my friends in high school that I wish bands would still make 80s music. Just last year I discovered New Retro Wave. This music saved me during all of 2020! It’s my #1 go to anytime. I just stumbled upon your music tonight. This music is so soothing, and takes me back to great memories. Fantastic band. Perfect upbeat pop song. All the feels. This band’s music has a great balance. Nothing is overdone. Not too guitar heavy. Not too keyboard heavy. The vocals are mixed just right and help elevate the song. This particular song has a pop feel but not too poppy which makes it great. Reminds me of some of the great music we would have called “underground” or “college radio” back in the day (80s-90s) . As in good enough to get mainstream radio play, but different/ unique enough (usually meaning ahead of the game) that it was different than what is getting mainstream radio play at any particular time. But things were MUCH different then. No internet, Spotify, KZbin etc to help spread the music.
