To use a phrase from our boys. . . ."crossing the shipping lane to Singapore on one engine hurts my feel goods!"

You have come so far since your maiden voyage. You are kicking butt and taking names. I hope you didn't fry your engine. You may have sucked something into your saltwater intake. But of course, you know what happened by now. I am just a simpleton from the US watching the turmoil with anticipation(LOL). | Like I said, you've come a long way. Great job. I look forward to seeing what happens next week.

Thanks Lee! Yes we have come a long way. While I still feel like a newbie at times I also recognize I’ve learned a lot. Yes - we did get the engine issue sorted out. Stay tuned! Really appreciate the comment!

The crossing is in two parts. If you look at the map for the sister islands. Cross just before and the main lane is in two parts with plenty of space in between where big ships do not go. The actual crossing just a few hundred meters hence should not be a problem unless severe weather. Singapore engineers know all about engine replacement but for repairs you can get all parts in the industrial complexes near Jurong. Definitely try fix it yourself unless you have a very deep wallet.

Why would you not have called the Coast guard and advise them of your situation? Just asking

We were still under our own power, just slow. Really there wouldn’t have been anything for them to do. We were active in talking to the ship around us. Thanks for watching!
