This is the first half of our adventure at Barnwell Mountain for the Big Paw Crawl for a Reason, which is a charity event that helps support the American Cancer Society. Hosted by Beartrax, this event is absolutely incredible, and Kevin and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to attend and show our support.
And you know us...where we go, insanity is sure to follow!
Hope you all enjoy the video and stay tuned for the second half!
And, of course, don’t forget to follow my Instagram as well for more rad car stuff!

Kevin and Brittany did just fine on the trails following us, I was in the tan buggy just in front of they going down the hill. At first I was a little worried looking in my rear view mirror seeing a new JL, but after seeing what their Jeep can do, all those worries went away. They went up everything our built buggies did with little struggle, just getting the right line and the good spotting by Brittany. Cannot wait to wheel with them again, it was so much fun and thank you for featuring my rig and my friends rigs in your video.

I like how your videos are not just clips but the whole trail or whole obstacle. You really get the feeling of being there, plus there is less video editing :). The Moab video is when I picked up on that it was the first time that I got what it would be like to actually be there. There are tons of Moab videos but they are often just clips stitched together. Great spotting by the way!! You guys are a great team out there on the trails. We are hitting Barnwell Mountain on November 3rd.

It is very heavy rig at maybe 5000lb, that does not help even with big tires and 4 link, plus the wheel base on that Jeep is about 125". The big heavy buggies did struggle, but what you did not see is the smaller lighter ones at about 3000lb just crawled up the hill.

Hey I heard a loud pop during the video and you commented saying the springs were popping. I recently went on a trail and heard a couple of pops when the Jeep was flexed out. Wasn’t sure what it was. May have been the coils. Just wondering if you could elaborate a little on that popping and why it occurred? I’m also running Metalcloak dual rate coils. Thanks.
@LiteBrite

Cody Chitwood As long as it’s the same noise you’re hearing! 😊 Like Kevin said, it’s just the tension in the Springs releasing/shifting as the wheel flexes.

I wonder if it is because of the transmission cooler. Maybe the computer detects transmission temp getting higher and kicks the fan on to cool it down. I have a manual so with no transmission cooler it might not need to run as high/loud. Just a thought! Usually the coolant just sits about 200-215~ on the trail.
