As out of pocket as this statement is, it make sense to me. The Raiders have been deemed career killers. The NFL does not want the team to succeed. 2021 was a good run, and would have been better if the Gruden situation did not happen. Ruggs probably would have still happened. But 2021 they were finally clicking. Derek Carr finally got to play in a playoff game. Then you trust McDaniels to bring glory to the brand and he destroyed it. Its going to be another 5 years before the raiders can be competitive. So AP is a fall guy. It was like Art Shell's 2nd stint as coach. AP is just there to take shots, get paid, and set them up for the future.

The main problem with the Raiders is NOT Mark Davis. He made the right call to hire Jon Gruden. The franchise was headed in a great direction until Roger Goodell sold the Raiders and Gruden out in an investigation that didn't even involve them. The NFL has been hell bent on destroying the Raiders since the 80's. They blocked the John Elway trade from Baltimore. Raiders would have been the team of the decade, if not for Pete Rozelle's hatred. When Al Davis sued and won because the NFL blocked their relocation, it was justification for the evil NFL empire. Still the Raiders have never fully recovered.

We gave him a fair shot and he gave us the NFL historic punt against the Chargers, where the decision to go for it was made a previous 437+ times in a row and AP goes "nah, I'm the biggest coward interim head coach in history, we puntin baby!" Got guys making business decisions left and right (everygame 2-3 plays where a guy refuses to tackle/ block/run routes with effort) Takes Brock Bowers out of the game during MULTIPLE red zone possessions (just one instance of this is fireable in my opinion, can't take the best player off the field in the redzone. No strategy in that move whatsoever.) No reason to keep a DEFENSIVE head coach when you're bringing in a new QB when the division is full of HOF coaches. I see DB's and CB's running with receivers without ever turning their heads STILL. I though AP was a defensive guy, can't even coach these kids to not get a flag. I could go ON and ON and ON but whats the point, AP is just an appendage of Mcduncials. Its like losing one Taliban leader and another one takes his place. You'd rather just not have anyone representing the Taliban running your franchise. The ONLY saving grace Antonio Pierce MIGHT have and I'm rooting for him to succeed) is that the Raiders are already paying two guys to NOT coach the team - they're still paying McDaniels and Gruden. He might not want to pay a third guy to NOT coach. They've lost I think 10 straight games, unfortunately brothas don't survive that kind of thing.

It’s easy to dump on the Raiders but the reality is Antonio didn’t give Antonio a chance. He’s been a problem for every locker room he’s been in. In fact when the Raiders lost him everybody was cheering with their pom poms cause they thought he was going to be so much better with Tom Brady. They said “Antonio Finenessed the raiders” GTFOH. Anyway I hear UPS is hiring.

Bill is a below average head coach without Tom Brady. He’s a great defensive coordinator but that’s it. Tom is the main reason for those rings and he proved it by wining in his first year while Bill was having losing seasons.
