As a bears fan, Caleb has had a great season, and all we could ask for, DESPITE his horrible situation. Same with Fields. You can’t even evaluate either of them for what they are because you have a 1. Horrific offensive line. 2. Terrible front office (minus Poles) 3. No consistency as far as coaching. He’s on his 3rd OC in one season. Only a casual can see all of these things and blame the quarterback. They did the same to Justin (I think Caleb is a far superior talent), but you CANNOT learn in this league of you don’t have TIME to get through your progressions. Caleb has missed some throws for sureeee, but man when he makes the big plays you can just see the potential, and he needs an Andy Reid type (and I think Brown can become that type of coach if they keep him) of coach to hone his skillset. If you get coach after coach after coach, how can anyone learn? It takes a whole offseason and sometimes multiple seasons to fully learn and understand a playbook and philosophy. He’s getting a new playbook every 6 weeks. Let’s be serious here guys.

Caleb is no where near the talent of Justin Fields! JF is the closest QB in the league to Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. He ran for a 1000 yards one season and only Michael Vick(1st pick in his draft) and Lamar Jackson (2 time league MVP) have done that in the history of the NFL. Put JF with those receivers, rb and te and Chicago is a playoff contender with the rest of that division this season. I agree with everything that a qualified Rex Ryan says about Justin Fields. Bears had the guy and the leader, but let the rookie deal thing override their eyes. Or maybe they just don’t know how to evaluate. They had the guy who had 3 years of experience and was only 25. Football success boils down to more than the QB. JF is supremely more talented than Caleb !!!
