The disrespect for NFL receivers is crazy. It’s not just about being athletic and fast. You have to know how to get out of breaks and not be stiff, you have to know how to beat press, know where to sit down in zone coverage, have late hands, track the football. People don’t realize how good NFL corners are and how hard it is to run good routes.

Man totally!! And DBs ?? These guys are confusing me..NFL IS A PURE ATHLETE
@ceejordan96496 ай бұрын
The main thing is actually getting off the line. That shit takes years to master, there are WR's who have been playing football their entire life and still have to work on releasing. I don't think these basketball players realize that an NFL CB is literally one of the best athletes on the planet. They are asked to run backwards as fast as a guy running forward at full speed.

@josephtanner3929 The crazy thing is that people can simply look at what happens to actual NFL players when they miss extended time. Martavious Bryant is a perfect example. Big tall WR running 4.3. The dude had elite physical gifts. He didn't get injured. He got suspended for 5 years. He came back last season, spent a year on the practice squad, got cut twice, and now he is looking for another opportunity somewhere else. Football is a sport that u have to play on a regular basis to get good at it. If you take 2 years off, your skills will diminish. Now imagine not playing since high school, thinking you can go try out and win a spot over other Elite athletes who never stopped playing.

Antonio Gonzalez and Antonio Gates also played Basketball. But what I will say is those guys were exceptions to the rule. Although you may find a few on one hand that could play in the NFL, your not going to get 30 that can or want to play. A lot of These NFL WR'S and TE'S have played basketball before to some degree. LeBron James who was timed at 4.60 in the 40 yard dash at age 28 would be a fantastic TE. Ja Morant with his leaping ability and speed would be a great WR or CB. There are many NBA players that could athletically play in the NFL. It would take some time to get accustomed to the physicality and at least some NBA players would be able to get accustomed to the physicality and some would quit. It would be easier for NBA players to get accustomed to the physicality of the NFL than it would be for NFL players to develop their skills for the NBA.
