Ananau I think is the mother of a Native American tribe and when a Pow-wow would form each year that tribe's sister tribes would come together to thank the spirits and the mother of their tribe who founded their tribe's lineage and each year after she passed they would most likely sing about her or she may have been a great healer and spirit who healed the land and it's people before the white man destroyed almost everything I should know they did it to my ancestors and yet the Cherokee people fought to protect what was their heritage that the white man thought they could destroy and today my grandma's is a 71 year old Cherokee woman and I'm proud to be part of her life and a Cherokee even if I'm part Cherokee but I don't know what tribe it belongs to only that it was used to celebrate a great healer and spirit or the woman who founded their tribe and each tribe has a mother and father as they are the ones that would raise it up from the ground but it was most likely once used in ceremonies and Pow-wows as a Pow-wow is more than just a big feast and party but at one time it was used to celebrate the tribe's traditions and it's mother and father and they spirits and give thanks to them that's as much as I know

Sometimes I don’t understand the existence of the ‘dislike’ button, this is one of those times. 😊 Little story; First time I heard this song was at arts class during a thunderstorm. Every time the thunder struck outside it matched the beat in the song and the lightning added awesome effects ( it was way cooler then it sounds!) but therefore I didn’t even hear the sky falling down outside. I only realized what was happening when a loud thunder blast made everyone in the room scream,-Last I checked, there was no screaming in the song, so therefore,- it scared the living daylights out of me! I must’ve looked really crazy while falling off of my chair. ⛈😂
@jennynoelle67824 жыл бұрын
It might be because the image, while very pretty, could easily be seen as offensive. People don't take lightly to an image of an anime girl wearing revealing clothing and a VERY closely guarded (and tightly restricted) cultural headdress, while surrounded by a flock of macaws - which aren't even native to the same continent as the culture represented by the headdress.
@jennynoelle67824 жыл бұрын
@Samantha Myrie I know Native American culture isn't just a costume. I just so happens that these headdresses (called 'plains headdresses') in particular are taken VERY seriously by the people of the plains tribes. They're akin to military medals and, unless you are a member of that tribe, you are completely forbidden from wearing it. Even if you are part of that tribe, you still likely wouldn't be allowed to wear it - as it is additionally restricted by gender and accomplishment. However, they are so visually iconic, so immediately recognizable, that they commonly appropriated by people for the sake of a Halloween costume or the occasional logo. As for the revealing clothing - the collar of the dress is low enough to show noticeable cleavage, as well as being short enough to show ample 'leg' (at least, I hope those are her legs peaking out from under the dress). And yes, I know anime girls are often 'gravity-defying' and more than one artist has drawn them in 'unrealistic clothing' (like here - how is her loose and flow-y dress staying up at all, without any sort of strap or structured corset present in real-life designs?). That isn't remotely surprising. But it may be problematic when you add the headdress of a minority that has historically been sexualized for their 'exotic-ness'.
