The lyrics of the song are actually very sad. The vocal (character) reminds herself how good the things were back in the day when she was young. She wasn't depressive or sinful. Now in the present time, grown up, she does sin and do bad things. She prays (breathe in the song) for her sins and asks God to forgive her. She also asks God to give her hope in these times of darkness. Anyway, that's my interpretation of it. And yes, that's why the uploader used the 'Miku being tortured' picture-- It fits the lyrics.

For those of you wondering-- The picture is depicting Miku in a BDSM ritual. It's called "sensory deprivation".
