There's just something about your parents that couldn't make any less sense, but you couldn't love them any less. We grew to live by their example, and now that they've done all they can and it's time you do the same, Taking the first steps out the door and getting on the road are the hardest part of the whole process. I'm not sure how people here weren't as fortunate as least have one of both there for me at the same time. And although I rarely do show this anymore, but I'll be sobbing like an infant once I do up and go. Stuff like this keeps the memories alive and young for me.

I always thought if it was the last time I saw him, the last time I spoke to him that it would not have hurt as much as it did... The last time I spoke to him he was Infront of our front door in the living room and I told him "I love you" Those were the last words he heard from me before he passed away... I always thought that if it was the last time I would want to make sure that it's a great memory, a great day, something to look back on and see how happy he was... I miss him even after these 17 almost 18 months...

I love both of the songs. Because my parents are divorced, I have had two very different experiences when it comes to parenting. My dad and stepmom have been kind of terrible parents, but my mom has been the best parent I could ask for so both of the songs apply well to me. It all depends on your experiences, some parents truly aren't heroes.
