Absolute poverty has been halved and continues to fall at record speeds. Life expectancy is so high we are having issues with the number of old people. I mean there are obviously problems and last year sucked, but on the whole data shows things as improving not getting worse.

Unusually deep words for a song. So much that I actually care about lyrics. "I'm not a scholar, I'm not an expert, but if you fight fire with fire - I'm pretty sure it only gets worse." - Wrong. That's a legit firefighting technique, often the only one useable in the absence of plenty of water. It's been done for centuries, and it works great if done by "experts" aka people who know wtf they are doing. The world might be going down alright. Check literally any gun channel on youtube and listen to some of the stupid,overreaching and needlessly complicated hoops you have to jump through to meet regulations. C. many gun owners HATE the NRA, why? because they give in to you're demands more often than not, and the legislation does literally nothing to solve the problem. D. if the issue keeps getting pushed, sooner or later it's gonna end up in the supreme court (Again) and more than likely ALL gun laws will be declared unconstitutional. E. the "Repeal the second amendment" shtick isn't gonna fly, first off it's enshrined as a RIGHT not a privilege and second who the hell do you think would be dumb enough to try and confiscate all the guns in this country? the police don't have the Manpower and the military is largely pro-second amendment, good luck getting them to attack their friend's and neighbors, F. you want to keep track of who does and doesn't have a gun? fine. perfect solution borrowed from our Nordic brethren, federally mandate that all law abiding citizens be required to keep a rifle and enlist as part of the US Armed reserves. we could even throw in some physical fitness requirements as a way of cutting back on obesity, with tax breaks for those that comply and additional taxes for those that don't. far more effective than limiting the size of sodas no? G. for the love of God/random proteins mixing in chemical soup to form life/whatever you actually believe in, go to a range and rent a gun, try it for yourself, listen to the constant respect for safety the instructors and salespeople have for the guns under their care, notice how they constantly check the chamber to ensure that it's empty before and after handing a gun to you, even if there's no way you could have loaded it. H. why do the manufacturers want to be able to sell in America? because contrary to what you may have been lead to believe, PEOPLE BUY GUNS! if they didn't, wouldn't be much point to this argument would there? When faced with a massive, woodland-consuming storm of flames and ash, your first instinct might not be to apply more fire to the dire situation. But think about it for a second: A fire needs oxygen and fuel, such as leaves and vegetation, to continue raging. Rob the fire of either source of nourishment and you squelch the chemical reaction that produces it. In other words a mass shooter needs two things a person and a gun, take one of these things away and there is no mass shooter. Guns can be acquired illegally 1/3 of mass shootings are done with guns acquired illegally, not good enough. All most all mass shootings should be done with illegally guns, the system shouldn't be letting people with such a high risk to have guns. There are two fronts on the war, first is taking away the legal guns that get used in mass shootings and the second front is supplying people with legal guns to protect them self's from people with illegal guns. People with guns save life's by taking the person out of the picture, a person that should be using an illegal gun but too often it isn't illegal. Two people with legal guns shooting at each should be an extremely rare event. The whole idea is the legal guns are there to protect you from bad people who could have illegal guns. Its not a hard concept why there is so much disagreement confuses me.

@@juliette7209 It's not the reality at all. No gun law is going to magically make criminals follow the law. You end up with a situation where the only people who would follow are the people who wouldn't do those acts. Criminals would continue not following the law as by their nature. There's nothing wrong with giving the teachers the ability to defend themselves and their students. But propagandists try to twist that into a bad thing. Nazi's in Germany took the guns away from the jews, ask a survivor how well that turned out and if they would have liked the ability to defend themselves and their family.
