mortelkilll nope. Death was different in both gender and form (from belief to belief - celtic, hindu, etc). The Grim Reaper itself became quite "popular" at the 15th century and was firstly shown as a skeleton holding a scythe (later it would be added a mantle and some people believe death even had fragments of armor). Anyway, Death as it is most commonly known is: Angel of Death, a supposed Angel that God put in charge of taking the souls of those that died to either Heaven or Hell (according to catholic belief, the angel's name is Michael -an archangel no less). Still, beliefs change according to their country, so there are other informations about Death in Islam and stuff. Check wikipedia for more info or go to the nearest library :D
