So there are REAL bands in Japan with REAL instruments, and you SIMULATE the singer via some programs... it's a code for every letter you use, which is sung correctly by a real person, and they try to simmulate an actual singer... as you can see, I did not really understand that all. But it's as close as I got to understanding before I quit reading... Damn this is kinda hard to explain. XD

Everyone wondering what the anime is, it's not anime, it's vocaloid, the most popular is Hatsune Miku, one of the voices for one of the versions (I forget which one but it's the most popular version). Vocaloid is basically a voice editing software, commonly Japanese as the language was simpler to input a program, there are English versions, but they aren't as crisp sounding as the Japanese. The company that made these gave each version a name and a face. Though art can be found everyone as the company never trademarked the character designs, giving artists free reign to create and distribute art of the character. There is like two or three part video just on vocaloid and how it came to be on KZbin that is where I got this information from. Just clarifying what some people have had a hard time trying to describe.

+Angela Madison Anime is an animated series of characters. Vocaloid are voice synthesizer products anyone can use. The characters you see projecting Vocaloids are similar to anime characters, however Vocaloids are real life things that can actually be used and create songs (that's what they were made for) while anime is just a Japanese show that have been animated. They are completely different things.
